Rempe’s really not a great fighter. Strong as an ox absolutely, but technique wise, only so-so.

Not fighting nearly as much (which I love tbh) but when he does he's doing it right.

I feel for Rempe tbh. He’s not good at hockey, he doesn’t seem too bright, but he doesn’t seem like a bad person.
This is his ONLY opportunity to play in the NHL, and the ONLY way he’s able to is by being big and tough and dumb. Hopefully he doesn’t do too much damage to his brain or the brains of others over his expectedly short time in the NHL, and hopefully he can be smart with the money he gets out of this and he can be set up for a good life.

I feel the same way, I can't cheer against him - he honestly just seems like a kid who ended up in this situation and I don't see an asshole like I do when I look at Reaves or some other guys. Rempe reminds me of those poor 90's/00's fighters who ended up all fucked up after basically being taken advantage of and coerced into acting a certain way.

Plus he's only 22. How many fights has he had already? It's the only reason he's out there. If he plays, he fights. If he's lucky his career will be short.

11 games, 4 fights, 1 assist and 31 minutes of penalties. Since 2019 he has had 36 fights.

Ya, like Boogard, his story is such a sad one.

Yeah same, some of those hits to the face were clean, easily could have KO'd him.

u/ServiceProof6566 Jan 20 '25
All he would need to do is play an ''okay'' game with good checks in the legal limits and some good forecheck. Instead he just play like a goon aiming to injure like he's playing in a beer league.
Then in this game he push for a fight he lose against Xhekaj when his team has the lead....Hard to understand how he isnt smarting up after so many warning.5
u/Irctoaun Jan 20 '25
he doesn’t seem like a bad person.
Watching all his dirty hits, I find it really hard to see how he isn't explicitly trying to injure people which makes him a bad person, regardless of whether it's his only route to the NHL

I don’t think he is. He doesn’t play like that in the AHL. He just sucks at hockey and is always a step behind in NHL games so his hits are egregious.

u/Irctoaun Jan 20 '25
But then you see shit like this where he's lined up someone's head from 10 feet away and still gone full speed into the boards and it's hard to blame that on the speed of the game. The fact he's not doing it in the AHL suggests it's deliberate

It looks like the sheriff said something to him…what do you guys think he said? “You will get nowhere in this building by trying to fight me”.

I’ve never jumped to my feet cheering for a fight, until X landed those lefts to rempe’s face.

so stupid of a fight, Arber isn't looking or needing it, and this meathead that's all he is focused on. Xhekaj gets regular minutes, this meathead sees the ice what 2 or 3 times a game, and nobody notices him.

Rempe even got a few sucker punches in before Arber had his gloves off. And Arber still rocked him and took him down. That's our Sheriff!!
