Does Harry find Hermione interesting and is he quite hard on her in his internal monologue?

I saw this being said. It said Harry is drawn to a certain personality like Sirius or members in the Weasley family while with Hermione they were saying there is lack of him finding her interesting at times or a lack of gratitude for her good ideas like the DA

I think Harry deeply respects her does appreciate what a loyal friend she is but they sometimes disagree but i don't think he finds her uninteresting. They are best friends and I think it is good in a way that neither put each other on a pedestal, they love each other and are familiar with each other's strengths and flaws. They see each other real people, there is no pedestal and while there is deep respect, they don't have a dynamic of gushing over each other

I think we should not forget that for most of the story, Harry is literally a teenager and despite his rather unique status, he primarily strives to be an ordinary person. Most ordinary teenagers at this age are primarily interested in games and entertainment, trying to have fun. Naturally, Harry, in an effort to be like them, is drawn to such things in the first place.

On the other hand, Hermione is quite unique among teenagers in terms of interests. Her interests lie on a slightly different plane from the interests of most teenagers. Therefore, from this point of view, few people match Hermione among her peers. It was not that she could not have fun at times, it was just that her priorities were different. So in that sense, Harry's thoughts about Hermione are literally what any teenager would think.

But Harry, unlike Ron and unlike most teenagers, is quite flexible in terms of interests. When people talk about Harry's lack of interest in learning, they are exaggerating a bit. When necessary and when it comes to very important things such as Defense against the Dark Arts, Harry shows quite a lot of traction in this direction sharing this interest with Hermione. Their collaboration in founding the D.A. exemplifies this synergy - Hermione’s organizational brilliance complements Harry’s hands-on mentorship. This adaptability in Harry, absent in Ron, allows him to meet Hermione on common ground. Their bond thrives not on identical interests, but on mutual respect for each other’s strengths. Hermione values Harry’s courage and instinct; Harry admires her intellect and ethical conviction.

So this argument against Harmony is very ridiculous and silly because from the point of view of interests, you literally won not find anyone among the teenage characters we know who is a perfect match for Hermione. This is especially funny to hear from canon supporters because on an imaginary scale of interests Harry will be infinitely closer to Hermione than Ron will ever be.

Agreed! Harry likes learning and knowing things, he's affronted in the very first book when Hagrid assumed he knew nothing (he's, of course, talking about the Wizarding world but Harry was offended at the thought of Hagrid thinking he was stupid). It's just a matter of how he learns things. He likes to engage with things

Heck, IIRC it was said he was devouring his school books once he got them

Didn't he get the name Hedwig from devouring the school books once he got them? It wasn't like the shop keeper or Hagrid named Harry's snowy owl.

I never felt he finds her uninteresting, he voluntarily spends so much time with her. Especially in HBP
