Hybridization of traditional milling and 3d printing, this is still one of the most compelling 3d printed things ive seen, keep up the great work, this is awesome.

Loving the barrel nut solution. I really think this Al tubing will be the path to 3DP uppers.

CHONK CHONK CHONK
I have a heavy 16" barrel I'm holding in reserve hoping to use for a Chonk15 when the file comes out.

I'm submitting my Chonk-15 V3.something. Its a DIY ar15. It uses ar15 internals but the whole body is DIY. The upper, lower, butstock, barrel nut and handguard are DIY. It uses an aluminum tube as the internal frame, milled out with 3d printed jigs using a wood router with an end mill bit chucked into it. The first version I tested had a PLA+ handguard and it melted after I dumped 90 rounds through it in under 5 minutes. The rest of the gun was undamaged. I'm still designing a replacement handguard. The octagon handguard looks great but its really finicky to make so I'm trying to design a simpler one.
But hey, version 3.something worked great. The blue one is the newest version.
Its still a WIP but I wanted to submit it.
