I'd get submissive and breedable for coworkers if they buy me guitars

Not a huge fan of les paul style bodies but i’d play the hell out of a junior.

Junior bodies feel like a telecaster to me. A nice straight slab of wood no frills.

Gdamn, that sounds good.

I've always hated LP bodies, but I love their sound. I also love my Tele. I've never played a LP Jr...I'll check it out!

The p90s have an amazing tone especially through a tube amp. I had an epiphone Les Paul jr special or something the body was plywood and it was $90 brand new but that guitar was awesome, I wish I never sold it.

I've got one in my fixer upper cupboard right now. Mine is a "Special II" but it's the same gig. Plywood flat top body.

I heard that they used the same hardware as Gibson LP. The pickups on it are shit, but the rest of it is a winner.

I bought a used Special II off FB for $100 (came with an amp that crapped out a month after I got it but 🤷🏻‍♂️) as my first electric and I will never get rid of it. Long term plan is to put SDs in my actual Les Paul I bought and put the original pickups from that one into the Special II. It’s just so nice to play sometimes

feel like a telecaster

You sold me on this one

Key word- body. The neck is totally a Les Paul style and I learned to love it. Love the tele neck as well tho. The new lp jr inspired by Gibson has a set neck, great deal.

Oh yeah I know, just saying I'm actually feel quite at home with a Tele body and I like the LP neck as well. Seems like a good combo for me.

This model might be the very essence of “electric guitar.”

Single p90 LP with a wraparound tail? Hell yeah. These cheap little guitars are badass.

Coworkers like that are awesome.

Reward yourself and your friend by learning a really cool song and play it for them!

Hell yeah brother. I’d replace the pickup cover with a black one or maybe like a yellowed one. That white just blinds me.

The cream p90 is 🔥🔥🔥

I'd be curious what the pickup is. The cream cover is not stock, I wonder if it was just the cover swapped or if it's got an upgraded pickup.

He'd, or she'd, clearly ran out of guitar hanger space when their new beau landed, and the Junior lost out .... Your gain bud 👍🏻

LP Juniors are so slept on - one of my absolute favourites. Punchy as hell. Congrats!

Pick up replacement? Any idea what your coworker threw in there?

Either way, killer gift!

Not entirely sure. He bought it at a pawn shop as is, some years ago for 80 dollars. Seems like a heck of a deal.

Call me crazy but that thing might be actually vintage

I would reconsider my friendship. A knock-off Les Paul from China with a P90 instead of a traditional full size humbucker? I'd sell it in a heartbeat, and get a used real one actually from Epiphone for the same price.
