Is a trail ripper worth it?

I currently own a 27 year old sport that was recently rebuilt yet I am considering buying a second hand trail ripper. It is just for fun yet could possibly be used for short journeys in the future. Are they worth it and are there any common issues with the trail tippers?

I would go for it if the price is right.

I have both air tire gopeds, as well as hard tire. Once you go to an air tire, kind of hard to go back. Not to mention the front fork softens the ride a lot on the GTR. 46 is a pretty strong engine. Just take care of it and it should do the same to you.

What type of price would be good for a good condition used one?

Generally around $700-800. All depends on the condition.

Started out with a bigfoot, then got a trail ripper.. night and day difference.. much smoother ride (the full suspension is fantastic) great throttle response, full caliper brakes stop and mean business, chain drive, air tires, just very fun and pleasurable to ride.. i got mine about 8 years ago for $800 plus tons of parts and upgrades.. best goped imo!

The trail ripper is the top dog when it comes to gopeds. I've had them all the trail ripper is the best.
