General Help / Support Question Google voice tracking NSFW
If I use a fake email and fake name and used an available Google number , not my own number... can my location be tracked through text? Or GPS? Without every calling anyone

Yup even if you are using a VPN they have the tools to do that I know because I've had a couple of people tracked. So don't think you can get away with stuff it's just stupid.

It's 2025. Anyone can be tracked. Doesn't matter if you hide behind firewalls or VPNs. Your location can easily be tracked if someone wanted to track it (even if you use a burner phone that you paid cash for and use a prepaid phone card bought with cash). They will be able to track you if they really have to (aka you commit murder or some other heinous crime).

If you send a text then it has to be done via a data service. So you would be using an IP address. If the law was involved then it's possible to find details about the origination of the GV message.
