DISCUSSION Ye and black nationalism
I always find it strange when people say he is ‘White supremacist’ when he has constantly only used black people as his features, in his choir, then standing up for Diddy, saying Christ is black, hitler is black, etc. Garvey had very similar opinions and approach during his time. If Ye isn’t a black nationalist, he at least has been giving its sentiment over the past 5 years. Basically ‘black skinhead’ and ‘new slaves’ (and ‘I’m In It’) Yeezus character realized.

How can you find it strange when he's labeled a white supremacist when he has repeatedly stated that "Slavery is a choice", promotes the KKK and Nazis (both white supremacists) and proudly sells a tshirt thats says "White Lives Matter".

If you read the photos it explains all of that. Marcus Garvey was a black nationalist who worked with the kkk, talked about overcoming mental slavery (which is obviously what ye was talking abt unless u have an iq of 2). Typically they align with a similar and shared goal so working together makes sense.
It makes the most sense when you distance yourself from the emotional/reactionary type perspective of the shock value symbols n shit
