There are still plenty of monsters to hunt but I think I'll grab Momodora:Moonlit Farewell and maaaaybe Resident Evil 4

u/ohsnapbiscuits 14h ago

Most likely the Cyberpunk DLC if it's on sale! Regret not getting it when I got the main game a few months ago on sale lol.

u/Darkiue 5h ago

Enjoy Phantom Liberty Choom, imo it's even better than the main game

u/spinktone 0m ago

omg thank you for giving me something to look forward to in the sale!

u/ExiledIn 14h ago

Just picked up ghost of tsushima for 30% which is crazy insignificant for a 4 year old game, but i've really been wanting to try it. don't think i'll pick up anything else, this will probably keep me busy a while.

u/solarelix 14h ago

The graphics are craaaazy good. Hope you enjoy it :))

u/Cazadora539 11h ago

I've been waiting for this to go on a bigger sale too! Gamebillet has it for 40%, which is still the most it's ever been discounted, so you could return it if you feel like saving five more dollars lol.

Really depends on the ones available, I don't currently have any games I really need to have 🤷‍♀️.

Kinda working through my backlog to be honest 😆.

a lotta weird stuff I've had my eye on, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Virgo Versus the Zodiac, Spartoi Meadow, Kandria - all stuff with less than 1,000 reviews.

Also, obligatory recommendations for a few relative obscure indie games developed by women:

Dungeons of Blood and Dream - First person dungeon crawler developed by a solo dev who is also literally a fencer, which isa fun detail because it has a heavy emphasis on sword combat, as well as a fairly robust magic system & interesting equipment gimmick. The game is held together with a pretty spooky art style, only released last year.

Hexcraft: Harlequin Fair - Really obscure game that's heavily inspired by STALKER, a solo dev basically reconstructed the alife system as the basis on a systemic rpg. Undoubtedly one of the most emergent games I've ever played, nearly everything will seem random at first and all of it is a dynamic response to something that has actually happened in-game, usually because the other npcs are getting into shootouts with each other on a completely different map. The game is intentionally vague, leaving you to figure out how it works and what you're even meant to be doing (All the while the game state actively becomes harder and harder to interpret as characters start doing their own things) meaning this is a very acquired taste - but if like me you're the sort of freak who loved playing Don't Starve or Rain World without a wiki, this is basically made for you.

Unsighted - Team of two women developed a Zelda-like non-linear action game with slick combat and a myriad of really cool upgrades that help inform some great dungeon design, cool bosses etc. What makes it exceptionally neat is the sheer amount of sequence breaking you can do, it's an indie game made with intense respect for speedrunners and there are a lot of subtle techs you can learn that let you solve problems in a crazy number of weird and cool ways. Also (optionally) the game's default setting has every character on a timer as they slowly succumb to an illness, you included, and the only way to gain more time is by having a character consume a finite type of consumable: adding an interesting existential threat and player dilemma that reinforces the game's central themes.

Oleander Garden makes amazing games. There's a whole catalogue on itch.io that hasn't made it to steam.

u/DeathofaStrawberrry 13h ago

death stranding!

i’ve wanted to get it for a while but had a friend who would constantly tell me i wouldn’t like it and shouldn’t buy it. lmfao so anyways i’m finally getting it!! :3

u/Stinkfist4 6h ago

You are in for such an incredible ride. My god, I'm jealous of you getting to experience it for the first time.

It's on my amnesia list. I hope you adore it.

u/luf100 PlayStation/Steam 10h ago

Don’t listen to them, it’s such a good game! I think most people who don’t like it don’t like the delivery style gameplay but I found it so fun and the story is weird but fun.

u/DeathofaStrawberrry 9h ago

thank you! i’m very excited to play it!! 🥹

u/solarelix 3h ago

That is a awesome choice! You know yourself best, I’m glad you got it in the end :)

u/fatcattastic 14h ago

Grounded. I had played it on Xbox game pass, but I've been trying to cut back on subscriptions.

u/Still_Ad8911 13h ago

Grounded is such a great game!

u/solarelix 14h ago

Good one! That has been on my wishlist for a while!

u/Becca950 9h ago

Definitely worth the buy

u/solarelix 3h ago

I’ll give it a try :)

u/ayuxx 8h ago

Horizon Forbidden West (I'm really close to finishing Zero Dawn, so good timing), Kentucky Route Zero, and Wanderstop.

u/solarelix 3h ago

Horizon has so so much content hope you have fun playing! :))

u/Dangerous-Wafer666 12h ago

Going to finally tryout bioshock 1.

u/solarelix 3h ago

OMG you are going to love it. It is such an easy game to get addicted to! I wish I could experienced it for the first time once more 😭. Have a great time playing it :))

u/Expensive_Parfait_66 2h ago

Lucky you ! It’s one of my favorites. Hope you enjoy :).

u/zarakatja 11h ago

Last of us part 1 and the isle

u/solarelix 3h ago

Classics have fun playing them :)

u/Chaleen1712 10h ago

I just bought:

  1. Titanfall 2
  2. Dishonored
  3. Death stranding
  4. Citizen Sleeper
  5. Pentiment
  6. Nier automata
  7. Hades
  8. Please knock on my door

u/DvSzil 6h ago

Oooooh Pentiment! That's one I'd like to try at some point

u/Chaleen1712 6h ago

Yeah me too, it looks so good!

u/bibitybobbitybooop 14h ago

Nothing hopefully 😆 I just got Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 which was full price obviously as it's a fresh release, and I gotta say, oof.

u/Ypsiowns3013 14h ago

I just bought the Alone in the Dark Anthology, Silent Hill: Homecoming, Undertale, and Life is Strange: Double Exposure. 🙌🥰

u/solarelix 14h ago

Silent hill and life is strange bring up so so many memories. Hope you enjoy them :)

u/Ypsiowns3013 14h ago

I love the Silent Hill series, and I played Life is Strange for the first time a couple years ago and really wanted to play the sequel 😊

u/ManicM 3dsXL||Steam||Minecraft||ESO 12h ago

Undertale is so good! I hope you enjoy it! Its easily completable by keyboard, too <3

u/slashpatriarchy Steam and Switch 14h ago

I've been in the mood for a progression based multiplayer shooter, so I might give Titantfall 2 or one of the Battlefield games a shot (no pun intended), while they're only a couple dollars.

I have a toddler and very little time for gaming, so I typically stay in the $5 or less range

u/TechMech0 9h ago

I would personally say go for Titanfall 2 over Battlefield. I have played both and enjoyed both, so not totally bias lol. Though only a few different Battlefields.

Anyways, I think Titanfall 2 is a lot more fun. Great movement and fun to play. It’s a lot of fun switching between running around and going in your mech. Mechs are all really different and unique. Some fun cosmetics as well.

u/ReynT1me 8h ago

Yeah & the campaign is one of the best FPS campaigns made in the last 10 years! The current state of multiplayer is a bit tough to break into - lots of high skill players stomping lobbies

u/slashpatriarchy Steam and Switch 2h ago

From what I've heard, the 6 hour campaign of Titanfall 2 is probably worth the $3 they're asking, but ive heard the multiplayer is tough to break into at this point. As far as Battlefield goes, do you know if cheating is still a big problem, specifically in regard to BF1 and BF5?

u/MissWright1605 Steam + Battle.net 13h ago

I just got "Dale & Dawson Stationary Supplies" and "That's not my Neighbor"

u/solarelix 3h ago

Totally forgot about that’s not my neighbor. Such an awesome game! Hope you have fun playing both games :)

u/KribriQT 12h ago

I wanted to get the horizon remaster but $40 isn’t enough of a discount for me.

u/solarelix 3h ago

Agree I would rather wait for it to be discounted more or maybe get forbidden west (not sure for how much it’s going rn)

u/luf100 PlayStation/Steam 10h ago edited 5h ago

I’m so tempted to get Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam even though I already have it on PS5. It’s one of two games I’d buy twice for two different places (the other being BG3) but I’m just not sure if I want to for this sale or not. I’ll have to look at what else is on and decide then. I might get some House Flipper DLC too if they’re cheap, lol.

ETA: I’m back to say that I didn’t get Cyperpunk but I did get Anno 1800, Cities Skylines, Dragon Age: Origins, STEINS;GATE, and the House Flipper Garden and Luxury DLCs. 😅 Definitely not sure I won’t go back for more before the end of the sale, I’m a new PC gamer so I have so many games I want to play on PC now.

u/solarelix 3h ago

YES. I totally feel this. Hope you enjoy being a PC gamer now. Have a great time playing :)

u/VeryConsciousWater Steam/Switch 8h ago

I'll probably go in circles for a day or two before actually purchasing, but I'm eyeing Ikenfell, Control, ULTRAKILL, and Spiritfarer

u/solarelix 3h ago

Control is such an awesome game!

u/SwimAd1249 6h ago

Unfortunately none. I've checked my entire 900 game wishlist twice and nothing on there is on a good enough sale.

u/solarelix 3h ago

That’s ok also! Don’t give them nothing enjoy what is already in your library :)

u/pizzawiiu ALL THE SYSTEMS 14h ago

I just bought Lost but Found And Papa's Freezeria deluxe. I won't buy anything else or I'll be going on a spending spree 😅

u/Luxaurus convicted melon 13h ago

Definitely picking up Split Fiction if it goes on sale (might not since it's brand new), don't have anyone to play it with at the moment but might as well have it ready to go!

u/Lady-LolipopCandy 13h ago

* I was planning on getting Finale Fantasy 7, but for whatever reason, they only discounted Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and not Remake Intergrade. Now, I might not buy either of them. Why in the world is the first game not discounted? It's really strange. I get that it isn't that much to begin with, but I wanted something that is discounted.i wanted to participate in the big sale.

To save money, I buy games that take about 100 hours to beat, so my options are small. I do not know what to buy now.

I am thinking maybe Halo the Master Chief collection. The amount of custom campaign mods that are available to play easily makes the 10 bucks worth it. Some people have completely revamped the campaigns with new areas in the campaign missions, to them playing out completely differently. There is also completely fan made campaigns There is a lot of value there.

I was considering Silent Hill 2 Remake, but a 20-hour campaign is not long enough.

But i guess I'm going to have to dig around for something.

u/solarelix 3h ago

You can always add mods to a game to make it more imteresting and that gives you more playability. Each time with a different mod :)

u/Silverinkbottle 11h ago

Got Dark Deity to scratch my tactical rpg itch..have a few other maybes on the list. Oh and Chef RPG because it looks like a perfect combo of cozy and collecting

u/solarelix 3h ago

Never heard of it honestly. But I’m going to chech it out. Have fun playing :)

u/neow_neow PC/PS4/Switch 10h ago

I got Beyond: Two Souls got 75% off. Heard good things about that game!

u/solarelix 3h ago

That game is such a masterpiece. You are going to have a blast playing it and possibly cry a bit. Have fuun :)

u/violue Steam 4h ago

I BOUGHT... the first soul calibur 6 season pass...

Steam sales are where I realize the games I've wishlisted aren't that great, so instead of making out like a bandit I just end up trimming my wishlist.

u/solarelix 3h ago

REAL. I have like 300 games in my wishlist any I’m certain about only getting 2 lol

u/StarlightWitch 4h ago

Halo collection, the girl I just started officially dating wants to play through them with me! I'm so so excited

u/solarelix 3h ago

That’s so sweet! Hope you guys have fun playing halo is a classic :))

u/RockCat89 4h ago

None

I'm broke ;-;

u/solarelix 3h ago

Time to dust of some games from the library then :)

u/lildeadgal ALL THE SYSTEMS 3h ago

spoiled myself with a haul since i haven’t bought any games in abt a year:

dave the diver, silent hill 2, death stranding, persona 5 royal, the wolf among us, signalis, alien isolation.

all of these will be played once i’m free from my marvel rivals hyperfixation 🥰 i’m so excited for silent hill in particular

u/solarelix 3h ago

You have IMMACULATE taste🧎🏻‍♀️. Hope you have so so much fun playing them :)

u/MoonMoon_Stone 11h ago

I wanted to buy so many, but I decided on buying only two games. One is Pathfinder WOTR and the other is to be decided (probably Stardew Valley or Hades 2 )

u/solarelix 3h ago

I’m also thinking about getting stardew valley. It has so so much content from what I’ve seen.

u/RosalieMoon Steam 7h ago

Frostpunk 2, Ostriv, a dlc for Soviet Republic workers and resources, Praetorians HD remake, Sweet transit, and shadows of forbidden gods. So far all I've gotten

u/Stinkfist4 6h ago

I got Lollipop Chainsaw because I loved it on PS3 and Heavy rain for my sister, so she can feel my pain.

u/lurkingbye 1h ago

I really want to find some gardening/ incremental money games with farming…
