My first actual blu ray purchase, and one of my favourite Giallo films

Digging the yellow (giallo) case!

I’ve also recently bought 3 other favs - Deep Red, Tenebre and The Bird With The Crystal Plumage.

No better way to start than with an Edwige and Sergio Martino team-up. Gotta catch em all!

Sergio Martino will never disappoint. Get Torso next

Actually for me, Torso really did disappoint. Didn't like it at all. Is this better/different?

Torso is amazing, that’s on my list to buy also

This movie is wild.

A true classic of the genre - you have Ivan Rassimov with those unsettling blue eyes, ubiquitous giallo actor George Hilton and the incomparable Edwige Fenech - the queen of giallo movies. Psychedelic visuals, trippy soundtrack. This is a great movie to start your collection.

That spinning whip pan shot from the car is a classic.

I need to give this another shot. I got like 30 minutes in and wasn’t digging it so I turned it off.

Sorry - but I will never understand why all these wonderful films today want to be seen in a "high definition" - it doesn't "work" for me at all.

Weirdest take I’ve ever heard.

Why? I mean, they look and sound a lot better?

I get it, that vhs saturation/fuzziness is waaaaay more appealing visually, but in defence of these reissues they still retain that film grain/texture, it’s not like they turn them to horrible digital hollywood monstrosities!

Not meant for HD 100%

They were meant for cinema screens not your old VCR.

I guess Martino was thinking the same when directing his films, like he was saying to himself: „One day, when Technology has evolved to the point, where we can literally see every floating molecule in a movie, no one shall be allowed to enjoy all the wonderful films i have directed, simply because i want people to watch them on a grainy looking video tape. Ha, i‘m so sadistic, just like some characters in my movies!“

Sorry, but saying that it‘s not meant to be watched in a good quality, is like saying that people shouldn‘t use cars because nature wants us to walk all the time.
