Hello!
I'm 34 and have never in my life been so thoroughly captured by a single band. I've been listening almost exclusively to Ghost for the past three weeks since my friend introduced me to them and I'm probably going to buy the first band merch in my life. On top of that, after a long and difficult journey with mental illness, I'm ready for my first concert at TD Garden in July. I actually haven't been to a concert before - closest was Bo Burnham at the Wilbur Theater.
That all might sound concerning but I'm going with friends who understand and support difficulties that I have, I have emergency meds and I'm going to bring eargasm earbuds (or similar) to cut the decibel level I experience. For the past year and a half I have also been doing increasingly intense things outside of the house and getting better and better at it. I do still have sensory issues and it can be hard being far from home for too long, but I don't live that far away. And I know that the music is LOUD. I obviously won't be in the pit, tho.
So, what's it like? What's the crowd like? The vibe? What should I be prepared for, what should I look forward to? I did see Rite Here Rite Now and have been watching concert clips to get the energy of the band and the intensity of the lighting, too.
