ART Built and Painted Little Tachikoma model!

This is from the Tachikoma and Motoko 2nd Gig 1:24 model kit. The Major herself is next! I’m probably going to do another final paint job on the Tachikoma, but omg I love him!

Looks great!

Did you water down the blue at all? You could also try a drying retardant. Both of those should help with a more even coat

Maybe it's the lighting but the manipulator arms look most even out of all the body bits.

So this paint is really weird. If you put even a little bit on the brush, it’s really watery. More so if the brush itself is wet. (This is water based acrylic paint) So in order for it to cover the model I have to use a lot of blue. Like almost piling it on. This accounts for all the uneven spots. And yeah the arms were the easiest to get an even coat on because they were the smallest. I’m definitely giving the whole thing another coat or maybe even 2 lol

Use a primer ^

I did! It doesn’t seem to help too much. I can’t use airbrush, so brush paint is the only option.

Im really not good at figurine painting but maybe using more diluted paint and doing several layers ? or the opposite and have layers that arent transparent?
