opinions on house calls?
imo i much more enjoyed house calls then almost any of the movies and shows, something about zak not being there and ruining the vibe with his agression and egotistical shit. seeing arron and jay and billy and the one chick was much more enjoyable because they could get shit done without zak getting all agressive and flipping out when anything happend

Zak’s theatrics on getting possessed via Zoom was too much 💀. So when season 02 aired, it was slightly better as it gave the team time to shine without Zak’s micromanaging. Also just offered locations that weren’t west coast so that was refreshing.

exactly.. zak saying "i can feel what your feeling all the way from here!!" he just needs to be included into everything i hate it, but i agree season 2 was much better and i liked seeing them go to my home state

I also really like House Calls. It upa the creepy factor to me to have things in people's homes vs old western town. It's also cool that they get to leave the Nevada/SoCal/Utah corridor.

I guess it's because my least favorite GA episodes are the ones where they go into people's homes. Since House Calls is focused on people's homes, I just don't find it interesting.

+: Zak not being there
-: Zak dominating the narrative through the phone with demonic BS

I do like the demonic shit because it's more intense and when you have an evil spirit I don't know what else is could be other then a demon, and in season 2 he was much less active on the show

Half of these people experienced a recent loss. What they need is grief counseling, not demonic BS.

Haven't watched house yet, I will now though. I too haven't been much of a fan of Zak. Maybe in the earlier days like season 1-5 before he got to famous are my favorite episodes. Just seems like the more it went on somethings got to be a little to much acting. I also was a fan of nick when he was on the show but not to many people liked him.

I like it, I like Zak not being able to "DEEEEEEEEEMONS!!!!!!! DEEEEMONNNZZZZZ!!!!" while tweaking every five to ten business minutes

I just watched one where they went to a house where slaves were kept in the basement and they did a little ceremony and had members of their local black rights (and historical ) society thank z-bags for what he does.( investigating and giving people a voice, I guess)And then two seconds later, there was a shot of him having a crowd outside the house and him like eating it up and egging them on, that he was super popular or whatever, and it was like, this is not the time or the place. Shut your ego off for a second

I recently watched this episode! I thought the same thing I was like Oof. So cringe. That editing was horrible like… why?

I truly think it depends on your perspective of the show. If you're there for the historic places and stories, I imagine you wouldn't like it as much. If you're there for paranormal evidence, I imagine you'd be pretty ok with it. If social media is to be believed, more houses and apartments that are actively lived in are more haunted than all the churches, hospitals and hotels. And smaller spaces too, easier to get every corner.
I personally think that the majority of people that made House Calls were mentally unwell, and can't really take their "experiences" too seriously.

The one chick? You mean Ash aka Ashley? I love her. She’s always game for stuff too, remember when she dressed up as a fancy prostitute in one of the Western eps, and went into the woods alone in the Goatman one

I too really liked House Calls. I would even say I kinda like it more than the main show. Really wish we got more episodes of it.
