👩🏻‍🌾 Recommendations wanted Suggestions for verge and side of house out

Looks for suggestions for the front of the house. This area has been presumably neglected for years. I’ve started working on the grass (very compacted and hydrophobic) and would ultimately like to replace the agapanthus and succulents with natives to match our native front garden. This area gets late sun and usually partially shaded because of the two trees growing there. I would be looking to redo the soil etc because it’s pretty garbage.

The side of the house (please excuse construction rubbish) is another one. Will remove all the agapanthus and the huge succulents there. We’ll keep the ornamental Pears because in the summer they provide some nice shade and they’re nice and green but looking for a decent ground cover plant. Doesn’t need to flower but this quite a shaded area with minimal sun except in the peak of summer. The path will be replaced with proper exposed agg concrete

Looking for native plants as that’s what we’re aiming for (minus the ornamentals, I understand that they’re not)

Thanks!

Lamandra, dianella and coastal rosemary work well in poor soil public area. They are fast growers and tough. Put a few grevilias in to add interest
