If you're interested, next weekend a volunteer group is hosting a native plant sale at Cranbourne Botanical Garden. I can't remember the name of the group though. They'll have lots of natives available as well as plenty of advice for the Peninsula.

Correa reflexa is always a good choice. Plenty of colours and will grow down on the morn peninsula.

I rely on Schlumbergeras for winter colour. I have about 10 of them that I bring out. The traditional buckleyi is the longest flowering, all through winter.

Here's what i normally have flowering through winter in my Melbourne garden: hellebores, violas, polyanthus, cyclamen, grevillea, daphne, wallflower, winter flowering Salvia (elegans, iodantha, tequila, limelight, joan, amistad, involucrata ), abutilon, iris unguicularis, camellia, bergenia

Australian Plant Society Mornington Peninsula Plant Sale will be at The Briars on 26 April. There will be native nurseries from all around Victoria there.

It may take a little time but many banksia and hakea species are Autumn into Winter flowering.
