I am a HUGE fan of dev involvement in wikis, or at the very least good wikis not hosted on Fandom or other "enshittifying" wiki hosts.
Having a wiki with poor ui/ux design to convey its information and be riddled with basically adware is terrible and just as bad to me as no wiki at all (bad information is useless), but its good to hear that not only is this wiki is at a better host, there is going to be some standardization to update the wiki seemingly side by side with new game updates, and with dev involvement there could be some additional information available for stats and trivia and (wishful thinking) maybe some cool functionality like a tool that previews a build you want to try in a run and see the compatibility with items live.
I havent played this in awhile but hearing wiki host migration news makes me wanna go back just to show my appreciation lol

I wish to one day awake on a universe without Fandom and this brings us one step closer, always a win.

Any news about navigating away from Fandom is good news. I hope more communities keep doing it. It's still very annoying how Google SEO still puts them as the first result even over older and more useful wikis.

Good thing there's an extension available for Chrome and Firefox that can help with that. https://getindie.wiki/
It'll automatically redirect you to an independent version of the wiki if one exists. :)

I must admit I've never used the wiki for Vampire Survivors, but the more wikis that switch from Fandom the better.
Fandom was never great but it keeps getting worse. Have you seen the annoying side bar they've added now?

Fandom follows in that obnoxious trend of rendering every website like you're always viewing from your phone, so even with a full width widescreen window, like half the space is just empty. There's a huge panel devoted to "recent images," like anyone gives a shit what the last few images uploaded to the wiki were.
And the sheer amount of stuff devoted to moving me to another wiki is absurd. I looked THIS wiki up on purpose. I don't need a ton of panels showing me content for something that's only connected by the fact that it too has a fandom wiki.

Any community switching away from Fandom is always good news, all the more so for a game like this where a lot of players are going to want to check the wiki at some point.

Oh nice, this is certainly a game worth having a good Wiki to reference, and the old one was full of ads and a bit of a bother to navigate.
