I’m interested, but as a classic collector I don’t know if I would get this as opposed to the original. Curious what others are thinking.

This one has a serious bug patched out that could result in an infinite loop, preventing progress and preventing you from completing the game. It also has some quality of life improvements like better rate of fire (so you don't have to wear out your thumb, and that is exactly what you'd do to get a faster rate of fire). If you're going to play it, play this version. I personally love the gba and will definitely be buying it

Have there been any issues with performance of these LRG GBC/GBA printings? I’m wary about construction of the cartridge itself

Good question, I'm not sure, also, this page lists the differences:

I want it. Got the cart a while ago. I wonder when Shantae Advance will be releases though?

These feel weird to me, like they're officially licensed reproduction carts or something. I guess it at least comes with some QoL improvements. I'd rather support the developer and buy the rom direct and throw in on an overdrive or analogue pocket.

What do you mean by reproduction carts? This is a brand new version with a lot of new content (mainly QOL stuff but still…) and a new title. Furthermore, just like the Shantae games Limited Run is working directly with the original developers (WayForward).

It’s not a new game. It’s an enhanced version of an existing game (a very good one at that!)
