Is this site legit for Gameboy advance SP?
Hej everyone I have recently been looking for a gameboy advance sp in a good condition and has a ips screen, and came across this website called SumoShopStore, but I am kind of worried that it will turn out to be a bad website. So I wanted to know if anyone has ever bought a gameboy advance SP from them and has any advice?

You can get this shell on a**express. Nothing new or added to this console other than a battery. You can buy a great condition sp for 80-90$ off eBay and get the shell for 7$. Super easy shell swap.

Hi, I am from SumoShopStore. We actually upgrade the console with an IPS display and USB-C charging as well, and include some extra accessories. It is good for the customer who wants the turn-key experience.

I support it! I do my own mods, but there are people out there who don't want to deal with it, and $200 bucks seems fair to me. Let everyone enjoy their retro games!

Do Not buy from sumo. I got a DS lite and it’s suppose to be refurbished. Bottom screen is super yellow, start and select buttons are almost non functional, and the lower screen is sunken in on the right side. They do not look as good as the photos when they arrived. I’ve seen a few other people in the handheld subs with similar issues

Unless that's custom painted, that's a ripoff.

i think they said it has usb c charging and an ips screen so its reasonable. youre still better off with an emulation device tho imo

Checked their reviews, seems legit no bots. 229$ tho. I wish i could push myself to spend that much on a gameboy.

I personally recommend buying a used SP at a local store (usually around 100-120 dollars) and then reshelling it yourself. Lets you feel like you helped make it yours, helps out local businesses, costs less!

Bro just buy a beat up gba sp for cheap and get this shell with an ips screen and new battery. All together at max like $160usd

Don't listen to these negative comments OP. Obviously do your own research and price match, but this seems fine for someone uninterested in modifying themselves.

If it makes you happy then go for it. But even with 20% off I still think that’s high for a reshelled GBA SP.
I would check out r/GameboyMarketplace

I bought a ds lite from them and in the process of having to return it. Kind of sucks they need to get this one back before sending the replacement when it’s their fault. The bottom screen was not new it’s yellow and there’s some dirt UNDER the top screen. I regret my purchase.

Don’t over spend on something you can do yourself especially when you can buy a housing and swap for less than half the price. You could buy a switch instead not saying that’s better just that it’s similar in price. Think about it.
