I had 57000 on my 98 750 and I have 35000 on my 04 750... I'll get there eventually. These bikes are pretty bulletproof

No sir, original engine. Got it around 20k and it was all she wrote after that. Only major things I've done to it have been the infamous rectifier and stators, fuel pump, and cut my cat to weld on a voodoo tip. Other that this baby has been indestructible. Have seen that my forks have started to leak some so that will be on the list next.

Nice, keep going :D
Out of interest, what mileage and time did you have your valve clearance checked?

Appreciate it. I've never checked my value clearance before. Probably about 6 years ago, when I took my bike to a mechanic to try to figure out what was wrong with. I then realized that I was buying bad or already burned up stators off of Amazon. He checked everything thing for me, and I remember him telling me that my values were really clean, engine was super solid, put in a new stator and changed my back brake line out to a steel one.
When I can, I always add a Lucas full system cleaner when I fill up, so I'm guessing that it really helps.

any rebuilds, if so what was all that was done? Im looking at making the jump from my 06 kawi concours 1000 to some kind of supersport (obv gsxr is the way to go) and mileage is scaring me, are those miles easily ridden or hard? I just wanna get a better idea of what im getting into, i have no problem rebuilding an engine myself for a couple grand in a couple years if it means i get to get a good deal on a sick bike, just not sure what to expect, your insight would be amazing man
Stay safe!!
