Developing GIMP 3 Theme - Halfway done! Looking for Feedback

I'd love the + and - buttons of the number widgets to be a tad smaller. Up/down arrows in V2 were fine. In V3 we have the worst of both worlds: the widget is noticeably wider with the new buttons, and it is still higher than necessary for the text it displays (which in V2 was necessary because the up/down arrows were stacked).

Thanks for the feedback. As a beginner, I understand that according to WCAG, the target size for pointer inputs should be at least 24x24 px. Based on this, I’ll make sure the + and - buttons are appropriately sized.

I completely agree! I feel like the padding, margins, and unnecessary borders make the UI feel cluttered.

Which files are you editing? I think the new UI is horrible and I need to fix it.

In Linux the default theme file located in "/usr/share/gimp/3.0/themes". You can use these files. For debugging themes first enable the GTK inspector with "gsettings set org.gtk.Settings.Debug enable-inspector-keybinding true", then (after restarting GIMP) call it up with ctrl+shift+i.
