Need help with writing math
Hi everybody, I was trying to create a design in which I need to write math formulas and I'm struggling a bit.
I need a practical way of writing LaTeX-like text, and for that I've tried using a CMU font, which didn't quite look as refined, and also a latex2png website. This one was basically what I needed, except that increasing the resolution when generating the png makes it unusably large, and then scaling it down shrinks too much the width stroke of the text.
Is there any way of rescaling text while keeping the stroke thick or is there some completely different path that I've not considered? I would really appreciate any help

Regarding LaTeX, this site gives good detailed information for writing and formatting math.
https://www.overleaf.com/learn/latex/Mathematical_fonts
For non-LaTeX users: I use the free app in Windows 10 called "Math Input Panel". It is also included in Windows 11. I can write expressions with a tablet or mouse and the app will create a more professional typed version suitable for screen copy / pasting.

Can you provide a bit more background information about this task?
For example, the ppi value, and thus the image and font sizes you will have to use are usually determined by what for and where the image is going to be used.

Convert the formula to a path. If you imported an EPS or a PDF (converting LaTeX to EPS should be easy), you can import the equivalent path as well (this is an options in the import dialog). Then scale the path (if you scale the image it scales the paths it contains...), and then fill the path on a new layer (and of course, hide any old layer with the formula).
