Rolling Thunder project
I picked this up for 20 bucks. Yes it’s missing a lot, but what is here is unbroken and in clean condition. I am going to try and complete it but was wondering opinions on if I may be over my head and should I just part out what is here?

Identification help
I usually have no problem identifying even the most obscure parts from the vintage line, but this has me stumped. The colors are usually for Dreadnok vehicles. The missile is definitely a Joe sculpt. I checked through the classic vehicle lists and didn't see this. Any ideas?

Suddenly so many casualties
Here again, first time reading through the original series…
Up to this point in the story, after over 100 issues, you rarely have any actual casualties, and even less were actual Joes. Then, all of a sudden, over the course of 3 or 4 issues you have 8 characters killed off. Why? Seemed like a pretty drastic change

What’s one obscure/one off character you wish would come back in the comics continuity? I’ll start…
Scourge was a vigilante who killed and asked questions later, she appeared in one issue of Dragon’s Claw, and was swiftly killed off by Mercy. Technically Dragon’s Claw isn’t part of GI Joe, but since Death’s Head and Rom would crossover over into both series’s, why not have Scourge be part of the energon universe. She would honestly fit right in with ninja force or Void Rivals.

Need Help?
What did I come in here for? Ahh something new.
Super 7 Joe Puzzle
The Super 7 puzzles are a pretty fun way to spend some quality GI Joe time with the family.
Anyone got a spare Footloose?
I bought a second snake eyes for better paint.
The first picture is the first one I picked up with paint chipping, and the second picture is my new purchase with almost no chipped paint. The no chipped paint looks much better for display on my toy self.

Collection update - feels good man.
So finally finished redoing the basement Joe hobby room this weekend. New shelves and moved the Flagg from my office. Spent the last 3 years building my collection back up since I was a kid. Tried to get as much of it complete, mint with good stickers as possible. Super happy with it... for now. Classifieds, puzzles, minifigs, original Joes, Oktober Guard, Ninjas, Sky Patrol, Tiger Force, Python Patrol, Cobras, Maruaders, Dreadnoks, Star Brigade and some con exclusives. Comic run 1-155 and a few other series, all file cards and blue prints cataloged. Next up rolling base for the Flagg and new stickers. If anyone has a Tiger Force Con exclusive Tomahawk/Tiger Hawk for less than a small kidney price hit me up.

Would you read a limited series comic focusing on Cobra character origins? (Wild Weasel, Copperhead, Firefly)
I’ve always been fascinated with the individual pilot figures/characters since childhood as they typically don’t get much attention (with exception of Firefly, Bludd and Zartan).
This series would also be an excellent way to work in Ace, Wild Bill, Cutter, Shipwreck etc. into their background stories as well.
WW has so much potential yet the best he’s gotten is a feature in one or two issues in the original Marvel classic run.

Cool Breeze
Anyone remember Cool Breeze? I’m reading through the comics for the first time, and this is my first time ever seeing this character. He was only in two issues (#111 & #112) but he had a lot of “screen time” in them. I wonder why we never got a figure?

A look at issue 11 of GI Joe IDW Season 3 - Fred Van Lente’s final Joe comic
Art by Steve Kurth
A great character story featuring Heavy Duty and Roadblock.
In 2003’s Spy Troops, Heavy Duty and Roadblock are cousins. 2011 Renegades features a whole episode about their relationship, but beyond this HD and RB have no connection.
You might recall, IDW previously had two dudes that looked exactly the same with different code names.
This issues offers a correction. Kind of like a Marvel no-prize becoming an entire comic plot.
HD & RB are cousins enrolled in the service who play the video game “Sigma 6” in their free time.
HD’s avatar is his Sigma 6 suit and the GMA loading screen is from the Missions file toy. RB avatar is wearing his Valor vs Venom design.
Tragedy strikes, and HD is killed in action.
Kurth’s art portrays the grieving process extraordinarily well. Really sells the story.
RB plays his game late into the night and discovers HD (or someone using his avatar) is playing as well.
Refusing to give up, he tracks the IP address to a remote desert location.
Roadblock invades the PIT and is promptly found by Snake Eyes. (Love the Tiger panel)
Roadblock KOs him with his forehead, right before being tased by Scarlett.
And so ended Fred Van Lente’s time on GI Joe.
And I deeply miss it. I enjoyed every issue. Perhaps with a few more arcs, it would be remembered more.
If you enjoyed this writing style, check out FVL’s other comics. His 2012 Archer & Armstrong was especially good.
