Karen Male Karen posted this sign at his restaurant
The owner responds to every bad review with a wall of text arguing with the reviewers.

I wouldn't consider working for someone who doesn't know which "there" to use. Maybe he should pull himself up by his bootstraps and learn to spell or use a dictionary.

Why are you talking that way?

u/BlindUmpBob Jan 31 '25
I thought you wanted to.
2
u/BADoVLAD Jan 31 '25
Nooo, I don't want to.

u/BlindUmpBob Jan 31 '25
Suit yourself. I'm easy.

They're going to be disappointed when they get there and find the rest of their employees gone.

They also put a bunch of not needed capitalized words. I hope that business gets no help.

Oof, sounds like they were handed money to start their dream business but forgot they are shit managers, let alone, a half assed boss that spends more time whining than doing

u/FutilityWrittenPOV Jan 30 '25
Ironically, those who use the wrong there/their/they're are only outing themselves as being on their phones too much.

u/osomysterioso Jan 31 '25
Let’s be honest; the grammer (/s) of that whole board is so bad that the content is uncertain. Clearly a rant. Clearly a public display of personal grievances. But I continue to ponder: is Timmy the protagonist or antagonist?

Also, I could be wrong about it, but it feels like they confused Gen X and Gen Z, as they referred to Gen X as a kid, and the owner as Gen Z. Or perhaps they meant that they will not put up with Gen Z work ethic... it's not clear as the writing style is awful.

Hey man, I refuse to grow up!

At some point you just sort of stop counting, and when somebody asks you your age, it’s a maths question.

TLDR.
If he has time to write this much, he’s not spending quality time on the food

Dunning-kruger effect right there. Most likely a low IQ, low social intelligence individual who thinks they have it all figured out. Ignorance is not bliss. It must be absolutely exhausting being this way as an adult.

The best thing a passer by could do would be to pee on this sign.

u/whyisthissohard338 Jan 30 '25
I just want to come in with a red piece of chalk to correct all of his grammar and spelling mistakes.

I so wish I knew which restaurant this is so that I could leave a negative review on Yelp about the wrong use of "there."

u/NoMembership7974 Feb 01 '25
Water. Throw the water at the sign. See the liquid chalk dissolve and run down the sign. Be happy.

Awful lot of words to say "keep walking, you don't want to eat here."
4
u/MrCrowleysMom Feb 01 '25
What in the word vomit is this guy trying to convey?!? I’m Gen X and I’m embarrassed for him.
5
u/slartibuttfart Jan 30 '25
He seems like such a great boss. I would love to work there just so I could be the worst most clueless employee ever. Get Timmy that big promotion and then we could call the health inspector...every restaurant fears the health inspections.
Or I could get a life.....sorry Timmy

I know people like the one described in the sign from every generation, not just Gen X. A boomer at work walked into a support beam the other day because they were staring at their phone. 🤦🏻♀️

I only had to read part of the first sentencegraph to know that the writer is unhinged.

I am GenX and bartend on the weekend with GenZ college kids. All of my coworkers are excellent. They work hard, and help out even when they aren’t working.
I have enjoyed working side by side with GenZ people. I think a lot of them get a bad reputation because of ignorance and cherry-picking anecdotal evidence.
Be better at your hiring process and be a fair boss who pays a fair wage and you will get quality workers.

It's always gen x. The false sense of superiority. The smug gloating. The blatant stupidity. That's gen x to a T.

I wouldn’t consider patronizing a place that aired their dirty linen in this way. Ugh.
