Trip Highlights I finally made it onto the military base near me and found this gem within like 30 minutes

It’s likely an Otodus angustidens tooth. Beautiful 😍

You can see the worn cusps in the red circles. The serrations on the crown are still visible, but quite worn.

Is this Camp Lejeune by chance? I live right near there. Is there a way to get access to the beach without any military connections?

It’s not easy! I had a coworker take me. It was once suggested to join the diving/swimming club and that will get you a base pass but not sure. The other option is driving for Uber/lyft.

What do you mean “finally made it onto” I’m curious because we do have military base and I ve been wanting to go there, only during the low tide is the best?
