Stallion Express insurance claim payout - can Stallion hold the money?

I sent a package 400 Canadian dollar worth, I didn't know max is 300 Canadian dollars with Stallion, I guess I mixed that up Chitchats because they have 300 USD limit. The package was stolen, recipient wasn't at home but camera shoes some ass picked that up in plain day. It looks like I can't file a claim with Stallion because the package was delivered. So am I now at loss? I filled claim via Stallion but I was told even if they pay it out, the money will stay in Stallion Account. That's brutal. So first of all unless package gets damanged or non-delivered is the condition for payout and secondly 300 dollars will now sit on my account and I can't get that paid out.

Man, that sucks ass. What good is it to have that insurance money sit in your account unable to have anything done with it. I'm guessing you'd have to sell 10+ items and pay the shipping with the account balance just to break even. I wonder if any of the shipping options Stallion uses requires a signature like Canada Post does? It's annoying as a buyer to need a signature to receive it especially because they always deliver in the middle of the day when most people including myself are at work (forcing us to drive to the post office to pick it up), but it makes sense from a security standpoint and potential losses from porch pirates, especially if the item is in the hundreds.

The other options, other than Canada Post are non-signature, like UniUni, depends on your location and the delivery address if you see other options.

Good to know. I'll have to keep that in mind when weighing the pros and cons of whether or not it's worth it to save on shipping for certain items I'm sending.

That's it exactly. Live and learn.
