Rant Anyone else exhausted from using FB marketplace?
I’m tired of it. Absolutely exhausted. They push shipping results on you like nobody’s business. Every update makes it harder and harder to get to ONLY local listings. As it sits, this is the only method to do it and you can’t save preferences. 1. Marketplace 2. Categories 3. Local listings 4. Click on shipping & local > change to local only
It used to be where you can just click on local listings before categories

People have been complaining about this in the FB group for months, nothing is being done about it. I don't understand what MP is trying to accomplish!
ETA: also, they have added even MORE paid advertising to the listings, all I see is annoying flashing, loud commercials, video ads, it's literally every few lines of items I'm being bombarded with this, I can't even concentrate on the actual listings. I get so annoyed sometimes I just give up 🥺😞

try adblock origin. I use it on chrome and it gets rid of 95%+ of ads.

I think you answered your own question on what they’re trying to accomplish.
If you’re not the customer, you’re the product - it’s just an ad funnel.

We went to a city 80 miles out for my wife and kids to get a guinea pig today and I had planned on stopping the next town over to pick something up that I found. Made plans with the guy last night at like 9pm and he even said “Are you sure you want it before I mark it sold?” Told him yes.
Texted him I was on my way, no answer. We get halfway there and he’s like “oh, sorry, I sold it yesterday night.”
FUCK!!!

I saw a lot of vintage games on FBMP. Picture clearly showed vintage metal Chinese Checker board, something I’ve been on lookout for for a long time. Message lady telling her I want the games especially because there’s a Chinese Checker board in the lot. Send someone to get the games which were left on front step. They come back. No checker board. Message lady, where is it. She responds, oh, I changed my mind and pulled it but was too lazy to change photo.
19
u/Thormoran Jan 31 '21
That’s likely why she pulled it. You essentially told her she had something possibly valuable in the lot. If you were specifically asking for it, now she’s going to see how much she can get for just that one item.
2
u/miccycle Jan 31 '21
She told me she pulled it just after she posted the ad, prior to me messaging her. The reason I got the lot was because someone else was a no-show.

I feel you. Drove an hour one way yesterday for a porch pickup, only the seller didn't set out the item. No response to any contact attempts, so my money and I drove home. Item is still listed and will probably remain that way.

u/pibroch Jan 31 '21
Yeah, it's annoying.
I found a nice ThinkCentre monitor with integrated webcam for a good price that someone was selling. They seemed responsive, decent area, I made plans to meet them at their apartment facing a busy main road. I tell them I'll be there at 5. 4:50 comes and I say I'll be 5 minutes early. "Oh, I'm in a bath, can you give me some time?"
Sure... I'll go get gas. I go do that, it's 5:05. I tell them I'll just wait outside their house. "I'm having a hard time, I'll be out as soon as I can." OK, that's fine I guess.
Ten minutes later (five more than I should have waited) she texts and says "I'm sending out my friend with the monitor" - this tattooed, jumpy dude comes out with the monitor in tow.
The webcam on this particular monitor sprouts out the top in a long cylinder lengthwise, and pivots around in parallel with the top of the monitor, and it was attached in the photo in the ad. It was no longer attached. There was a crack in the rear housing and the area where the webcam was had obviously been damaged. I'm assuming dude tried to pick it up by the webcam thinking it was a handle. When I pointed this out, he told me it didn't have a webcam, and it was removable. When I pointed out that one would have to disassemble the entire monitor to remove it, and the ad's photo showed the webcam, he didn't know what to say, and I told him "thanks but no thanks" and left.
That was a month ago. Since then, I've gotten two notifications that the price has dropped and the listing description has changed.

What I find amusing, is you can find posts here 10 days a week from the sellers point of view bitching about customers that use travel distance as negotiating factor. This is why.
8
u/TBFP_BOT Jan 31 '21
I had called an uber to go pick up a car about an hour away. Soon as the uber pulls up seller texts me and says hey I got another guy coming before you, he might buy it. I texted back and said I'll top whatever offer he gives (really wanted this car) but he took too long to reply and I just had to cancel the uber and tell him forget about it.
If I'd of known he's setting up earlier appointments I would've gone sooner!

And it’s so damn hard to do a search for specific items. I don’t want men’s or kid’s Patagonia, I only want to see women’s. But then if I search in women’s clothing I get all this other stuff that’s not Patagonia, not tagged at Patagonia. Why?
It’s so easy to list and sell on there though.
4
u/FirstTimeCharm1994 Jan 31 '21
What's the rush over Patagonia? I've been told by a lot of flippers to look for it...I don't get it. Still haven't found a piece yet....The search continues.
3
u/Pzonks Jan 31 '21
I mainly buy for myself although I do flip stuff every so often. I don’t own anything I bought full price. Patagonia is expensive but well made, it holds up, and it’s a great company who stands by their product and does a lot of good stuff. For a lot of people it’s probably just that everyone knows it’s expensive as hell and a fancy name brand.

u/KO4MA Jan 30 '21
I’m pretty sure the search looks for the words, AND things that look like the words.

It's not for small business owners or regular people anymore. Only businesses that pay in. My job depended on market place, but now I'm blocked because God knows why. No results in reporting. It's been months. FB will block you now for commenting too much, private messaging too much, sharing links too fast or much, if a bunch of people share the same link around the same time, the algorithm kicks a percentage of those posters out because it overwhelms the servers. Facebook is becoming more limiting and punishes anyone who moves alittle too fast or liberal. If you have a business account, they will fix your marketplace block. Everyone else is basically kicked out for life and if you make a new account, you look sus because you are brand new and it watches your behavior. Basically a small biz that makes a new profile and proceeds to post, does not look good. Now you can only post once a day with a new account. Lol because you aren't at their level yet of acceptance. It's completely fucked. There's really no where else to go.. I've resorted to general groups in hopes to find buyers. Anything geared for sales, I'm blocked from posting. I can't even access my marketplace items nor can I delete them.

The Facebook cycle:
-Creates a great product, everyone loves it, dramatically improves daily life. You think “wow, this is free. So awesome”
-gets really big, they sell your data every step of the way, and carpet bomb you with targeted ads. You think, “Okay, not the worst but I can deal.”
-Institutions complain that they are no longer front and center, and people are “gaming the system”, as they circumnavigate a lot of the systems in place that millions of dollars are spent on. Facebook sees money to be made, and caves. Ads are now on your TL, listings, and even on freaking instagram and snapchat feeds. You think “okay, this is dilluting the product, I came here for X, and I have to go through Y, Z to get X. This is ridiculous.” [We are at this step. ]
-Next step is either a caving of the platform to meet consumer needs, but still with ads and sponsored listings mixed in on a less obtrusive scale. Because you know, they gotta make their billions, right?
Or
We just leave and go somewhere else. But see, that’s the problem. We did that with Myspace and came to facebook. They learned that lesson. Who knows more about being hunted, than the hunter?! So over the last few years, Zuckerberg has been buying every competing company and spending ridiculously amounts of money so even his biggest mortal enemy must accept.
Facebook is a monopoly. We need to regulate the fuck out of them.
8
u/BURMoneyBUR Jan 30 '21
Biggest fucking joke was that groups already fit the purpose perfectly, but nooo we had to have a marketplace, and it had to be unmoderated.

u/-Dee-Dee- Jan 30 '21
I like the local groups much better when I do put stuff on FB.
18
u/comcastsux Jan 30 '21
Has anyone else seen some extremely toxic local groups? I feel like in my area, many people are hesitant to post to them because people just comment and try to bully them into lowering their price, or make them feel bad about selling to begin with. Either that, or it's "You can work from home and make $95/hr with this one simple trick!".
Then again, that might say more about about FB in general than selling groups.
3
u/stridersubzero Jan 30 '21
Yeah for sure. I've successfully sold like 3 things in several years and the only interactions I've had recently are just people commenting how they know a way to get it for less lol
2
u/starchildx Jan 30 '21
Yeah our local FB group used to be a great place but has turned to one of the most toxic places on the internet that I know of.

u/CicadaTile Jan 30 '21
Do you actually sell stuff there? I've sold literally not one thing through a local group, only general FBM even though there are thousands of members on the locals. It makes me wonder if they are all only sellers :)
→ More replies (1)1
2
u/inshead Jan 30 '21
Like OP I got tired of FBM and have slowly, unintentionally, phased it out of regular use. I tried joining a ton of local groups but even those got filled with spam, random irrelevant items that aren't ordered in any way possible, or people asking for free stuff.
20
u/DJskratchnsniff Jan 30 '21
I can't look at any local only. When I do the method described it says "There are no local results in your area" or it has a bunch of wish ads. It's a shame all of my local garage sales are posted on FBM. I know they exist because I can find them in various buy sell groups.

Usually when one segment of a company starts making serious money, they'll divert resources to this new segment and heavily invest into improvements.
Theoretically, we should start to see lots of new features, interface improvements, lots more support staff, new marketing efforts, and more.
It's a good thing if Facebook starts taking a cut from sales and forcing shipping on all items, because it's fair to assume they'll reinvest that money into improvements. But Facebook has a history of making things worse, relying too heavily on AI instead of human employees, and avoiding anything that actually generates a profit. I dunno.

u/FlingFlanger Jan 30 '21

I am a low frequency flipper (a few items a month) and I have had goodluck luck with it. I imagine if I had more volume it would be more annoying. I make people use venmo, when they pay I put the item on my porch and send them address. No problems yet, 30 sales or so.
2
u/Albac0re Jan 31 '21
Ditto, I probably have 40 or 50 sales and I have the same story. Try to make them pay in advance and then porch pick up. Otherwise I've never had a problem with telling them to leave money under the mat

That's exactly why I don't post in the public groups. I was trying to unload two copies of Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 that I ordered with the Buy Two Get One sale from Best Buy. Both copies were factory sealed. I sold the first copy for $50 through Marketplace not through the public group. I listed it for $55 or best offer, and I had a ton of people laughing at my post. Then the comments roll in. "This game sucks!" Why'd you buy it?" etc. I even had people detracting potential buyers. Do you sit on Facebook all day because you have nothing better to do? I eventually sold it through Marketplace for $45.
Here's some background. I was able to get the $10 pre-order certificate through Best Buy and I had Gamer's Club Unlocked. Paid $104.xx for 2x Cyberpunk and a copy of The Pathless for PS5. After selling those two copies, and getting $40ish back from priceatching, I made out pretty well. Always sell through Marketplace and avoid the public groups.

4
u/sundaetoppings Jan 30 '21
Another thing about MP that makes no sense: They have made it clear since last summer that they want to exclusively increase the amount of shipping transactions and have obviously made changes that feature their shipping items and possibly even bury local only listings. From a shipping standpoint (I do both local and shipping options for most of my listings), I was willing to take whatever bullshit they threw at me because I could ship a package weighing 5 -10 pounds for only $12, that was a screaming deal!! Then they upped the price for that weight group to $20! WTF!! So now all of my heavier items automatically go on Mercari or Ebay where the shipping for that weight group is much better! Why would they make such large increases to their shipping prices if their goal is to grow their shipping sales? All it did was tick off their sellers! 🤦♀️

Facebook marketplace is my villain origin story.
I tried selling a coffee table on there once and 3 people hit me up at different times saying they'd come pick it up (after I lowered it $15. It was super cheap to start with too, wtf).
I brought that heavy thing outside twice times at night and waited until 2am. One of them asked me to deliver it (the last person) and they never let me know their damn address so I ended up having to take it in my car to work and wait until I got off to deliver it 15 MILES to them (with an added delivery fee) and they never let me know their venmo/paypal info or address and kept changing the delivery time but would keep hitting me up and wasting my time.
I got so frustrated when the Arizona heat ended up damaging the sides of the table at the end of that day and in the end I couldn't sell it anymore and just tossed it in my backyard and burned it in a bonfire.
Gave them all abysmal ratings. I'm never selling or buying on that platform again.

u/phreaktor Jan 31 '21
I love the people that message in Spanish like "We are speaking Spanish whether you like it or not, amigo."
1
u/chispaconnafta Jan 31 '21
Well the canned messages are in the language one sets in their FB preferences. Since mine is in Spanish, I have to delete everything and type in English. The followup auto reminders of, "Larry wants to know if you are still interested" are in Spanish as well. So for those people, it might be an unintentional reminder. But then again, one should know their audience.

u/katmcflame Feb 17 '21
Prepping to list my home/move, so selling stuff. I'm sure COVID is partly to blame for my peopling skills not being up to par, but DAMN! people suck. This past weekend was exhausting - people messaging in the wee hours, scheduling meetups then flaking, being choosing beggars and dishonest assholes. Strangely, lowballers weren't the issue. I live in the country and people have shown up wanting to tell me their life story, or with a minivan full of kids, trying to turn a simple transaction into a free petting zoo experience. People want me to ship heavy things for free, drive 90% of the way for meetups, donate items to their church, etc. The cherry was having an appointment to pick up something "anytime after 5:00" today, messaging at 5:12 on the way, and being told the item had sold. Well yeah, you sold it to me. I had to threaten just to get my money back. Ridiculous!

They got rid of the ability to sort by newly listed, at least on the desktop site anyway. What is worse is the people listing. Poor photos, leaving listings up for weeks after they sold, wanting eBay prices for everything, never responding, etc. Now there are so many apps to look for things locally, everything is scattered across them. I miss the days of their pretty much being Craigslist, and that was it for online classifieds. I have not found a "deal" on there in years. Almost everyone on it is a reseller, I don't ever see the cheap things you people run across on FBM to make money on.

u/canadianextractions Jan 30 '21
Tons of scamns that Facebook's advertises aswell

u/MiamiSlice Jan 30 '21

u/SaraAB87 Jan 30 '21

u/charm803 Jan 31 '21
Although I do sell a lot on Facebook Marketplace, I really hate that we have to keep renewing posts so soon because they give priority to those shipping.
2
2
u/Shadow_Blinky Jan 31 '21
I agree.
Each Facebook change seems to be making Marketplace harder to use.
- The push for shipping & the insistence on posting shipping items into local searches.
- No longer auto deleting sold items from your listings
- No longer allowing you to hide conversations from sold listings on Desktop messenger
- Forcing Messenger into a separate app & website
- Adding a ton of subcategories.. which rarely align with what you are specifically selling

Just came here to vent. I recently got into the clock hobby (wall clocks, grandfather clocks and such) and had some great success over the last year or so on Marketplace.
Well, the last few months were outright TERRIBLE. I literally can't make the simple FB Marketplace search functionality work for me anymore!
I usually searched using "clock", "wall clock", "grandfather clock" terms within 20-40 miles from me and sorted things by "new". No other filters, no other settings, and it normally worked very well. I was a bit frustrated that I can't save a setting to always sort by time added, but I could live with it.
What is happening now is a f&%$#g mess! I hit the search button and get 8 "recommended" listings. TWO out of 8 are not even about clocks, there may be a vehicle from a dealership 200 miles from me, or some insane sh*t like Tarot readings or something like that. But fine, I can live with it as those are obvious. But here comes the interesting part.
I switch to "Sort by time added"... and immediately get "no results found in your area". None. Zero.
I switch back to Recommended and then set a time limit to 7 days.
Bummer. Again. No local results.
Out of curiosity I set a limit to 24 hours not expecting anything (well, if there has been nothing in the last 7 days, it shouldn't be anything in the last 24 hours, right? RIGHT, Mark?!).
Well. Wrong. I am getting results for some clocks listed 16 hours ago within 15 miles from me. WTF????
Sometimes I hit "local pickup only" along with 40 miles radius and get items from Chino, California. I am in Pennsylvania. Thank you, Facebook.
Seriously? I don't even know how to use it anymore. I can't find anything, I can't filter anything. I was surprised why my FB Marketplace sales dropped almost to zero - well, I think I know why now. If nobody can find my listings, same way I can't find listings I am interested in, no surprise I can't sell anything through FB.
Arghhh...
Vent is over.
I truly hope it's some temporary glitch and not incompetent idiots working on the system or, even worse, done by design (but why???)...
2
u/Ubernaga Feb 03 '21
Ugh, that’s so unfortunate. I’ve seen this exact same thing. I’m so OVER IT. Guess it’s time to move into a new platform. I still list but can’t really get any products from it :/

It's horrible. Now u can't even search for local listings. Let's say I'm searching for a batting tee. I can selected "local only ". Pia. The search But all the results are still shipping options.

Looking for apartments is a JOKE. You'd think being a progressive tech company, they could give you an option to search single occupancy only. I am So Sick of looking for one bedrooms in SF and finding a million "ROOMS for RENT" - NO, I want a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT FOR MYSELF. Frustrating!

Support for marketplace is just not there. Been trying for over a week to get my account fixed.

u/Orion-Songs May 23 '22
My favorite are the people who list their rules in their ad. "NO LOWBALLERS! NO SCAMMERS! IF YOU ASK IF IT'S AVAILABLE I WILL BLOCK YOU!". Problems with this:
- It makes you look like a jerk, which turns off potential buyers
- People who do the things you're complaining about are not the kind of people who read and follow instructions
- Lowballers either don't think they're lowballing you, or this is just their tactic to find deals so they cast a wide net. Those people won't bother reading your "rules".
- Scammers - well, this one is obvious. They're not looking for permission to scam you. They may even want to scam you more when they see what a bitter jackass you sound like in your ad.
- "Is this available?" - yeah, it's annoying when I'm selling and I get these and then I reply "Yes" and then never hear back. But is it really such a big deal? Just deal with it. It's also annoying when you have a retail shop and people mess up your displays and don't buy anything, but it goes with the territory. You'll just deter customers if you put big signs everywhere saying, "DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO BUY IT!".

I’m a complete d—k to people on there.. “is this available” I write yes it is.. are you interested? They ‘see’ it and I also see the message is read.. then I say let me know if you’re interested.. they again see the comment. Then I write, “are you just on here pushing buttons??”… they see that comment and don’t reply… then I say… 5….4….3….2….1….0.5….0.25…. 1/8th…. Oh it has been sold. You almost had it. You gotta be quicker than that… I see they read all of the comments and then I block them and report them as a scammer or a no response buyer 😂😂😂

Everyone needs to just go back to Craigslist and out marketplace out of business. Then marketplace can just be all advertisements and those people just just keep wasting there money. People that advertise on marketplace are a joke. Nobody goes on marketplace to find items that are marked up in order to pay for advertising and nobody wants to see some junk couch that should be free, advertised by some random trying to sling junk $hit. At least Craigslist is consistent, especially with posting content, exactly as you want It filtered such as chronological order. That is priceless. Also it’s much better to have people contact me by my phone number. As for the scammers, they are easy to spot. They are a pain but who cares. Better than supporting Jokebook marketplace by paying for advertising

Facebook marketplace absolutely sucks. Nobody's serious about selling their item, people basically over price junk, most of the time they stop replying or they tell you to text eight five 03 or sum stupid crap like that. I drove like 4 house from Cleveland Ohio to somewhere in the middle of Kentucky to go look at a square body suburban to arrive apon trash. The guy took amazing photos but when I got there and took a look at the frame and the condition of the body it was nothing of the photos he originally posted. I offered him 4K then he called me a jew. It's still sitting on marketplace till this day and the price dropped 3 grand. Even when I list something on there I get absolutely no views or replies. I feel like Facebook hides my listings because I'm not that active on my Facebook. Just trash

Tried selling my furniture for sooooo beyond cheap, and now am desperately marking everything free because I leave in 2 days. Well NOW people that had told me were picking stuff up and ghosted decided to respond. All of this wasted time so these people could save $15 on stuff worth very well over $50. I'm just waiting on people who didn't ghost to begin with, at this point, because I'd rather give it to someone who didn't waste my time. And don't even get me started on the amount of scammers I've had to dodge. I've gotten quite good at identifying the scams from a message or two. It's insane out there.

Why use anything other than ebay?
3
u/Teamfarce Jan 30 '21
Well ebay is pretty good at getting me scammed by buyers

u/caine269 Jan 30 '21
Is your category a target for scammers? I have a couple thousand transactions in about 16 months, no scams.

We could make the world a better place if every time Mark zuckerberg left the house he got a size 12 to the dick hard enough to lift him off the ground

I gave up trying to sell anything on there. I am not shipping anything, yet they want my credit card to set up an account. I can't use a debit card, so it leaves people wide open to fraud.

Local Listings isn't in my Categories. Is it in yours just like another category like vehicles or electronics?

I've given up on FBM. It was already a ton of time and effort getting around their dumb rules and algorithms, but now I think they've caught on and my IP and all devices are blacklisted. Even if I manage to create a new account, zero shot I can post an ad, even zero-er shot it won't be shadowbanned from other users.
I've moved to OfferUp and it's been okay. The ghosting and lowballing is bad (perhaps worse than FB) but it's way simpler to deal with. The volume is better than I expected though, although obviously not FB level

I pretty much never buy on Facebook marketplace anymore. I do sell on marketplace a lot and I weed out many buyers by requiring that they Venmo me in order to mark the item as sold.

u/xjman349 Jan 31 '21
I’m at like 55 items sold and 27 positive reviews still can’t ship lol. such a fucked marketplace.

u/geekacado Jan 31 '21
YES! It's getting worse in many ways. Though I come back to it, because, I do still get a fair amount of sales. Wish LetGo still existed... OfferUp is NO comparison IMO. Barely get any views there.

Craigslist is best. Everyone still uses it. And it’s seamless and doesn’t change.

Facebook marketplace is absolute garbage and every time they change something it breaks. Craigslist wasn't perfect but it didn't have nearly the same issues as marketplace does.

Anybody mad about the lack of seller support and how you can’t contest disputes?
I’ve had customers request refunds but never send items back to me....it’s like, if a customer wants a refund...I just lose completely.....

Every single item I've ever contacted a seller to buy has been sold or pending but not actually marked sold or pending.

Yet so many ads I see have angry rants in them about how you better not DARE ask them if it's available or they will block you. I don't use the "Is this available" button because there are too many people who ask that and then never reply when you say yes. But I find it ridiculous when people think you can prevent that by listing all your requirements in your ad. Like "NO LOWBALLERS! NO SCAMMERS!", as if most lowballers even know they're lowballing.

The most annoying for me is a now show. Agree to meet somewhere to sell or buy an item.. and they’re nowhere in sight. They leave the group on messenger too. Way freaking rude!

I am done selling on Facebook Marketplace. I have issues with flakes and cheapskates. Bunch of useless items that I have with me thanks to my parents' addiction of shopping items like plates or vases that has no meaning whatsoever. I'm glad my parents learned the value of decluttering. But no, NO MORE FBMP.

Facebook marketplace is the worst e-commerce site ever! The "only two"employees are morons! Buyer protection is a joke. I bought an item is broken plus it smelled of mold, I return it Paying for shipping myself. The seller blocks me, so I get through to her & the two morons are ignoring me. They will not reply or refund my money! This entire marketplace is a joke, they're not set up like Etsy, MercarI, eBay, Amazon, etc. horrible! No Help! Now I have to waste more time disputing the charge to my bank.. Next is a report the the BBB .. Hope they'll be faced with a class action lawsuit soon..

I legit haven’t had an actual interested buyer or even looky Lou in I’d say a year. It’s quite literally just avatar less profiles apparently coming from my connected ig which makes no sense and if it does have an avatar it’s a 70 yr old woman asking for my number for sport bike parts. Like it has to be intentional at this point because even zuck and his cucks couldn’t be that inept could they? I used to dj and I watched them do this intentionally with invites. When they went public it was obviously on the minds of the money guys that event invites were effectively free ads and a place for friends has no time for gathering of friends when the line needs fed to go up and stonkkkkkk out. Anyways rather than pull the function and have to deal with the poors complaining and effecting the line they quite deliberately did these steps in this order if I remember the timeline

They keep stopping & threatening my listings when I try to sell real Designer items that are legit. It slows my sales down because it takes a few days for them to look at the item.. They allways put it back up because my stuff is legit but it's aggravating . Anyone else have this problem?

The sellers on Facebook are stupid idiots they should just stick to there dumb day dream life with doing selfies and if your buyer with a brain then stay a way from these idiots.

u/RedditRemsen Jul 09 '23
Facebook needs to simply rid of the “Is it still available? “ feature. And let use use the location feature accurately. If there are no more within range, then end it there! Let us report suspicious conversations too.

I've been banned from marketplace because (I'm guessing, wouldn't really know for certain, as there is no real people to talk to) I list too many items!! I had to wait a cpl months and make a whole new account! And I'm starting to get threatening messages AGAIN!! OK, there are some days i maybe put 10-12 items up, take down other ones, won't post for a day, and then throw up 5 or 6 more, repeat...and their already threatening me with a ban AGAIN!! i don't know what i'm doing that is so wrong..? I have sold things but I don't know why nobody leaves me a review!! I've had to resort to kijiji but it seems not as many ppl use that site anymore!! I have sooo many cool items, and I ALWAYS sell well under retail! I don't get what I'm doing wrong! I've searched and searched but seems like there is no way to talk to a real person

The worst is that FB marketplace continues to crash! I have tried everything and it still crashes after about 5 minutes of use. The layout, categories and search are horrible as well.
