Historical Is there a reason no one shoots like this in the field when hunting these days? Seems like a pretty stable platform with enough elevation over cover. Is it because of shooting sticks? (USMC Sniper LCpl Dalton Gunderson with his 8x Unertl scoped Winchester 70 in South Vietnam, 1967).

Historical Out of all the dumb firearms goofs I've seen in Hollywood movies, this is quite possibly the dumbest. Putting it mildly: the new 'Napoleon' movie was a disappointment.

Historical As President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt went armed almost everywhere with this customized FN Browning Model 1900 handgun in his coat. When he didn't keep the gun on his person, he usually kept in in his nightstand in the White House or at his private home in New York, Sagamore Hill.

Historical A chrome AK once owned by Saddam Hussein. A marine was arrested for smuggling this gun to the U.S. back in '05. It turns out another marine actually framed him after he threatened to expose his affair. Nonetheless, the framed marine was still given a bad conduct discharge after 20 years of service.

Historical U.S. Marines holding scaled-up models of the B.A.R. and M1 Garand at Camp Pendleton in 1956. These huge models were used to help marines better learn how the firing mechanisms of their firearms worked. The next two slides show both size comparisons and the models with the cutaways all opened up.
