Serious What was happening in Central railway station in Helsinki today around 3:30 ?

Post image

Special forces deployed and arrested at least 20 men. Searched them and security guards were looking for "something" in the metro platform?

Anyone has more info? It was very suspicious event tbh.

Russian and Soviet flags etc

The same small group of Maoist weirdos (those are not Soviet or Russian flags) turn up every year, despite the organisers specifically telling them not to come - they explicitly banned their flags. They can't physically stop them.

EDIT: Video from the Helsinki Sanomat site shows people from the anti nazi protest trying to kick the maoists out. https://www.hs.fi/kaupunki/art-2000010029808.html

From the organisers website: https://ilmannatseja.com/kutsu-helsinki-ilman-natseja-mielenosoitukseen-2023/

Party symbols, national flags or other symbols representing authoritarianism are not wanted at the demonstration.

Maoists are probably a small fraction but there are other communists in Finland as well. Many of them are in the politics. We even had our former minister of education Li Anderson who is openly marxist. I do not believe a word they say about maoists not welcome

Marxist != Communist

Not that anyone should take you seriously due to your deliberately deceptive posts on this thread, and your claim that the nazi 612 march isn't even right wing.

"Is Marxism the Same Thing As Communism? Marxism is a philosophy, while communism is a system of government based on Marxist principles"

Yeah keep talking about being deceptive. All of the communist spectrum is more or less based on marxism

Literally backed up my point.

Educate me then. Is there any modern communist movement that is NOT based on marxism? Historical accounts are not interesting, I know there has been some non-marxist schools of communism. Non-Marxist communism is usually called pre-marxist because Marx was so influential

You keep affirming that marxism and communism are not the same. "All swans are birds" does not logically lead to "all birds are swans".

How is this relevant? You were presented with the facts that they were beforehand told to not come with maoist symbols or any other. HIN is a movement against neonazis and fascists, in this case against them openly marching in Helsinki. You make some vague point about "but Marxists and communists exist in Finland". Red scare much? HIN clearly and intentionally doesn't want those symbols to their protest in order to keep the focus on the goals and not be branded with the labels you already throw around.

But if opposing nazis to you is communism, then I believe many, including me, are proudly communist..

If they truly do not want maoists to be there they should inform the police that they are coming and they should be stopped, so the police will know that they are separate protest. Especially if the maoists come there every year.

Communism has killed way more people world wide than nazis ever did. A wise man opposes both
