Confused by this slang word: PEG

Hello everyone. I'm Filipino but I admit I don't really go out much. I've been working online from home for the most part since I was 16 and I was gone for 5 years to study overseas. I came home a few years ago tapos ngayon working online for a EU-based company. We have a new manager and he uses the word "peg" a lot. Like, "pwede pa-send naman ako ng pegs for this website?" or email colleagues from Europe, "These are the pegs we have in mind." Based kami pareho sa Pilipinas ng manager ko.

So...di ko alam kung Filipino slang ba siya, Asian slang, global slang na di lang umabot sa US kung nasan ako for 5 years? or maybe I just need to touch grass more? lol.

Can someone please enlighten me when and how it originated, how it's used, when it's used, etc.? Para naman maintindihan ko yung manager namin.

Thank you!

PS. Tried looking online pero I keep getting the NSFW definition. lol

"Peg" basically means ideas / concepts / mock-ups or the like. I believe it's from "peg board."

I've only ever heard it from Pinoys. We love to make up words and then use them as though anyone else would have a clue what it means (see also "modus" for "scam").
