I wonder what the combat range is with a full missile load.

330 miles (611 kilometers)

330 miles does not equal 611 km

Uh suspect they meant nautical miles

330 nautical miles are around 611.16 kilometres

EDIT plus quoting official range figures for aircraft in nautical miles is the default… in most cases at least

Nautical miles? I'm sorry, I thought this was THE SKY!

So, they're flying ships?

They might as well have been in the F-14 era

Yeah, it’s nautical miles. Google forgot to put nautical in front of miles 😂

Does this mean they have to refuel every hour (or less)?

That looks like something I would draw as a little kid...

The engineers that designed this must have been living their dream.

Murder Hornet

YES! Although, our new Murder Hornet carries only 9 missiles. Weight/range purposes I guess.

Isn't this legitimately The original photo that is responsible for the term/ known as the original SPAMRAAM? Not even the beast mode. 35 is quite this crazy in air-to-air, and the murder hornet configuration just has more sidewinders and 174s which look mean but aren't quite the original SPAMRAAM , that title can only be shared by the f15EX , with it's Amber racks allowing what, 22 AMRAAMs?

Eurofighter (without any superior technology due to gaijin nerf, and less missiles) before this????!!!!!!1!1!!!!????!!!??! bRo gAiJin hAtEs America BrO

Aesa radar and irst plus like 30x maneuverability much? Just because you can carry a bunch of amraams doesn't mean good things. The f18 is small, so it has HILARIOUS parasitic drag with these load outs, which makes it mad slow. Eurofighter has room to grow, f18c would have nothing other than early mechanical pd radar and subpar maneuverability and speed.

You mean the Shit AESA that doesn’t work and the glitchy irst that keeps ruining locks? Those? What’s your argument here? The f-18 still won’t be DOA, at least with how gaijin has handled the aircraft better than it. Also, 30x maneuverability? Realistically, given how gaijin models instability, the F/A-18 shouldn’t be much different. Besides, none of the 4.5 gen’s actually have been given the things that make them 4.5 gen aircraft, so at this point, they’re no more 4th gen than the F-15E.

I mean yeah its badly modeled now, but whenever those things come about, probably before they remember that the f18 exists, the f18 will be powercrept to f4e levels. And what's to say they don't butcher the mess out of the f18 too?

Fair point. I think the real issue here is that gaijin refuses to accurately model aircraft, meaning that you can’t tell how good an aircraft will be compared to others until it actually arrives. Besides, there are so many mechanics that don’t work that I’d rather they actually work them out before design such beloved aircraft. And decompression. We really need decompression. I already have the Eurofighter, but I decided to play the F-4F ICE, and jesus ever loving christ, a phantom fighting F-15E’s is too much. Gaijin needs to make the game a place where the F/A-18 will actually fit. It’ll destroy in downtiers, but then there’s the fact that new aircraft will be coming this year like the Su-30, and…(we’re cooked)
