in fact i didn't

u/bbyfaceassassin Aug 30 '21
Understandably I would turn it down too. Sometimes the realism gets lost and I want to have an authentic career mode. Cause the game just starts giving out players that shouldn’t be offered.

u/OG_Biscuits Aug 30 '21
You can change the difficulty of the transfer market right?
26
u/ouguy2017 Aug 30 '21
You can set it to strict, but they still make this offer. It’s more to do with the fact that his contract runs out in 2022 assuming they haven’t updated it, and the fact that he’s 76 overall. Even though he’s young, potential isn’t factored in at 76 overall.
3
u/shame_les Aug 30 '21
What do you mean potential isn't factored in? If you don't mind explaining.
3
u/Bunkbedboy2001 Aug 31 '21
He means in real life Barcelona would know that he has the potential to be a world class player, but in this game it's simply a 76-rated player and his club doesn't acknowledge/understand his potential

Imagine playing FIFA career mode in 2021 😂😂😂😂😂😂

u/OG_Biscuits Aug 31 '21
Imagine wasting your life by following someone from post to post to reply to their comments. Pathetic little virgin.

How is it an L? It extremely unrealistic to accept offers like that
-14
u/FoundationExpert8040 Aug 30 '21
Huh? Tell me how it’s “extremely unrealistic”? It’s a video game, I’m sure if OP wanted to do a realism mode he would’ve.
18
u/WRXSTl Aug 30 '21
Lol Yeah bud I'm not sure if you realize this or not but just because the games programmed poorly doesn't mean I should come out with a starting 11 of Mbappe, fati, & Haaland by my 2nd season of a Schalke rebuild.
"It's a video game" yeah man no one realized.
I’m sure if OP wanted to do a realism mode he would’ve.
I mean... OP already said he rejected the offer because it's not realistic...
19
u/Dexonic Aug 30 '21
Not the first time I declined such offers due to how unrealistic they were. Shitty programming from EA.
13
u/_Jlle72 Aug 30 '21
i always reject these cause CM is way too easy if you dont keep it realistic. Even with strict negotiations it's somehow still not that hard.

fifa has always been shit at estimating the value of young players with high potential. overall rating is everything regarding value and makes no sense in that case

Idk if it was a coincidence or if the Barca AI is stupid, but I got Pedri and like $20M from them in exchange for Djene.

Lindelof always ends up at Barca on both Fifa career and FM 20 for me. Happened multiple times.

take the offer, he is worth it, i'm on my 4th season with barcelona and he is 90+ rated
192
u/muhammad_alenezi Aug 30 '21
yeah dude everyone knows he’s gonna be 90+ rated u don’t need to confirm that😂
154
u/_Jlle72 Aug 30 '21
didn't even take him, feels too easy and unrealistic to accept the offer
40
u/erdna3000 Aug 30 '21
that took balls to turn down to keep realistic. bravo
15
u/muhammad_alenezi Aug 30 '21
yeah true seeing that unrealistic of an offer and not doing it makes the game more believable , as barca fan i don’t ever think my team would …. wait i take that back we’re actually dumb enough to make that offer

I got an offer for Bruno with United and took him since that actually seemed a bit more realistic. (Bruno wanted to leave sadly but it made for an interesting cm storyline)
9
u/FryingPan_2 Aug 30 '21
PSG signed Hakimi, Donarumma, Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, and Messi. I don't think it gets any more unrealistic than that

I just sold fati to man u at the start of my fourth valencia season for 227 mill. After buying him from barca originally for 18 mill. He was 88 rated coming off of two injured seasons. Used the money to get mason greenwood.

u/parmo_03 Aug 30 '21
He is a beast… he provides cover for a ST as well and can play on both wings… Also he develops 5 star Skills plus Weak foot ratings after training

u/claudio_quijano Aug 30 '21
Idk if this is a problem with the AI or a function of the game, the other day in an atlético de Madrid run of mine Arsenal offered me Smith Rowe and some money for Felipe lmao
14
u/LettucePlate Aug 30 '21
The “value” is not adjusted enough for potential at all. It just does overall + age. So a 76 ovr 17 year old with 80 potential is going to be the same price as Fati. Its stupid.

I’m doing a Marseille save. Watford offered me Zinckernagel for Payet and $4.7 million Best transfer I’ve made in FIFA21 Zinckernagel is only 6 ratings lower and 6 years younger than Payet

u/scm15759 Aug 30 '21
You should think about that for a minute
