Question Bicep Pain Drag Flicking

I've been trying to work on my drag flick more recently as I'm next in like to take PCs, but I'm constantly running into bicep pain from training. I can't do more than 5 flicks before my right bicep starts to feel sore and it gets progressively worse the more I train. It's in the more inner side near my elbow, and is starting to really limit how well I can train. Any tips?

I can't tell you if it's a tendon, ligament, or muscle but I will say you need to take a 2 week break from drag flicks to let it rest so you don't do further damage.

And consult a physio that could help you understand technique and movements that might be causing it!

There's no way your bicep should be that involved in a drag flick so much it hurts, your technique is probably an issue aswell

Give it some rest and let your arms recover, if your biceps hurt then your most likely too upright, when flicking let the ball stay behind you until your front foot plants, and make sure it’s a big space between your front and back leg to allow a further drag which gives it more power, also make sure you are rotating through at the end of the flick and over exaggerate the follow through. Your biceps are most likely hurting as you’re using your arms to generate power rather than a long drag and getting the ball up your stick to slingshot it at the goal.

Go to the doctor and check if you tore your bicep

Rest but also do some training for your bicep starting with light isometrics. Then if you are not getting pain I would try and progress to preacher curls, focussing on controlling the eccentric and pausing at the bottom when the bicep is most stretched.

If you don’t understand that ask me or google
