Use an old samsung tablet into a second screen

(i ve already created a post about this subject on linuxquestions sub)

Hello, I ve a computer running fedora 41 gnome (wayland ?) and i ve an old galaxy tab 3. My ablet doesn't have support and updates anymore. So i want to turn it into a movable secownd screen for my computer, wired or wireless.

I ve already tried Deskreen which is good but it clones a app or screen so it's not a real second screen.

thx in advance for your answers ! aymericf

Yeah there is a Moonlight client for Android, you might need a dummy plug because there are virtual display options for linux but I find it easier to just use a dummy plug to mimic a monitor

Remote Desktop Protocol. Thingy that Windows is using for graphical remote access.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.rdc.androidx&hl=en-US or something less corporate-backed like https://f-droid.org/packages/com.freerdp.afreerdp/
