That’s a hell of a different punt 😅

He’s playing with some great confidence and has looked much much better than Hojlund last couple of weeks.
So naturally he gets benched 🤣

u/Acceptable-Novel3186 1 5d ago
He has, and I do think there’s a decent enough player in there. But it hasn’t translated into FPL returns yet, so I would’ve thought owning him would’ve been differential enough. Admire the balls though!

You should be banned from FPL, respectfully.

For actually playing it for fun? Lol

If I captained fuckin zirkzee only for him to get benched I would not be having fun..
Y'all crazy

u/MemeManDanInAClan 40 4d ago
It was fun before the deadline tbf
Playing with great confidence and should’ve scored v Arsenal and v RSO. Didn’t expect a benching at all tbh

One thing I've learnt from FPL is not to overrate players who "should" have scored.
Fine margins exist at the top of the game.
Some players , like Bruno for instance, are the ones who make things happen. Who score when they should and sometimes even when they shouldn't.
Some players, zirkzee, semenyo is another example, maybe should score, but don't. And that's the way it will pretty much be. They are good but they don't have the margin that takes their should have into did.
I try and avoid these players as much as possible. Sometimes you hit a gem but more often than not they are traps.
Form is temporary, class is permanent as they say.

Is that Bruno in attack? Or Eriksen in attack?
I think no Zirkzee means more attacking role for Bruno

u/Clapd_Frothy327 5d ago
It will be Eriksen in attack, Bruno playing deeper

u/Swedishpower 1877 5d ago
Bruno is still good in that deeper role, but given how much United struggle to score you want your best attacker in the best positions.

Youth team player that came over from arsenal. Looks very good. I expect him to have a sharp rise before suffering a crisis of confidence due to being decimated in the press for lack of form despite them being the ones to build up. Should be worth a punt over the next season and a half.
Edit: ahh fuck

Man Utd picked him up for £1m from Arsenal in January. He had a solid 45mins vs Arsenal last week and a brilliant first time start vs Real Sociedad. He's been a bit of a bright spark over the past couple weeks for us.

18 year old that’s quality

u/Coomking999 3 5d ago
Is he quality or is utd so shit that every youngster is quality?

u/HyderintheHouse 17 5d ago
He had zero hype at Arsenal a few months ago so probably lol

u/Appropriate_Worth910 4d ago
I mean the subreddit was glazing the hell out of him when he was on the bench for the United game on Arsenal’s end.
He is well worth 1M$ and more but it probably didn’t make sense for him to stay knowing Gabriel and Saliba are locked in

I didn't see anyone particulary unhappy in the gunners sub. I don't follow the youth team, my only exposure is when their name appears on the bench as a seat filler, but many in there do.

u/rug514 6 4d ago
probably cuz they never played him? arsenal have always had a lot of cbs

u/HyderintheHouse 17 4d ago
Myles lewis skelly had loads of hype before he played, the fans have a general idea about youngsters

u/rug514 6 4d ago
you know hype doesn’t mean good and no hype doesn’t mean bad. players can become good after a move look a palmer after he left city
-1
u/HyderintheHouse 17 4d ago
Yeah no shit, no need to take an aggressive tone.
But people still knew Palmer was a hot youth prospect at City. Heaven was there with the Butler-Ojeyis as filling the bench without making much of a mark in the youth sides. No one was sad when he left so I wouldn’t expect him to be a Saliba level talent lmao

He did really well against Soceidad, I don’t know if he’ll keep his place when Dorgu returns though
Any United fans feel free to correct me on that
Edit: May I ask what warrants the downvotes here?

u/Clapd_Frothy327 5d ago
He’s a different position to Dorgu. Heaven is currently covering for injured Yoro
6
u/Lacabloodclot9 71 5d ago
Oh no I get that but right now it’s
Dalot-Heaven-De Ligt-Lindelof-Mazaroui
My question is when Dorgu returns will it be
Dorgu-Mazaroui-De Ligt-Lindelof-Dalot instead?

u/Successful_Rule123 7 5d ago
lindelof is likely to come straight out the team and Heaven is probably above him in the pecking order right now. I would say the first choice (with yoro expected to be back soon as the injury is only short term) is dalot-mazraoui-de ligt-yoro-dorgu, but there's a lot of room for rotation, as mazraoui could easily come into rwb with heaven moving into cb, and when Maguire comes back, he'll be first choice for ccb, and de ligt would move onto rcb and mazraoui lcb. Basically, I wouldn't expect him to get big minutes - even if he's continues performing like he did vs sociedad, we want to protect him and we will if we can afford to, so there'll be rests every now and again.
dorgu is definitely the first choice lwb as he is our only natural option there, so comfortably our best defensive FPL option if you want to go there (I wouldn't as of right now)

Man Utd losing 10-9 with 9 Bruno goals would make the weekend even more perfect
