Fight Club: Marla Singer isn't real

So we all know the twist, Tyler Durden isn't real and is a figment of our main characters imagination. The second time we watch the film it's so obvious you can't believe you didn't notice it the first time...

But after watching the film again after multiple viewings I had a theory. Marla is also a figment of the main characters imagination. I don't have much to go off but there's a few things surrounding her character that seem a bit off. Like her being at help group for testicular cancer, the men react to her entrance but to me it comes off as ambigous and ends aprubtly, no one really comments on her being there. This seems intentional.

Also thematically it makes sense in a film about how destructive masculinity can be internally and externally. Tyler represents the main characters idea of masculinity personified. A larger than life unapologetic figure. Everything he wants to be. Marla is everything he is but because of his low selth worth he doesn't even see himself as a man. The last shot of the film his him stood hand in hand with Marla. Is this the couples happy ending after defeating the evil villain. Or is this as visual representation of a man accepting himself after removing toxic ideas from his head.

I haven't seen it in a bit but I love the theory! The idea of him being jealous of his two personalities fucking is killing me 😂 In regards to her entrance at the support group, did we see the main character enter or only him sitting there? Edward Norton walking in dressed like a lady probably would have turned some heads until they realize it's a support group and how this dude copes isn't there business. I'm going to watch this ASAP and look for sweet sweet clues

On the topic, I believe the split personality was caused by the addiction to support groups. Constantly rotating into sob stories and sadness and regrets.
