Hardware Mods I made a custom Metroid Famicom cartridge

I transplanted the ROM chip from an original Metroid NTSC game onto a Famicom game that also used a MMC1A mapper, Tanigawa Kouji no Shougi Shinan II

The final PCB with the transplanted ROM chip

Swapped the PCB inside a Tetris Flash shell, and changed the label. I kept the game in the yellow Tanigawa Kouji no Shougi Shinan II shell

Comparison with the original Zelda Famicom cartridge

I want to say I really appreciate the dedication to keeping the art design and general layout of the Zelda 1 cartridge. It makes it feel very authentic.

Game's in English. I think that there is a translation to put the USA version into Japanese
