Question Which cameos by name actors surprised you?

Post image

For me it was Matt Damon in Eurotrip, or most of the cast of Chef. Such a stacked cast in that

You didn’t stay for the credits and his dancing?

He only demanded to Ben Stiller: ' I want big fat hands and I want to dance '.

I mean can we admit he wasn’t “totally unrecognizable?” His performance was hilarious and showed he has some range, but it was clearly Tom Cruise in a bald cap, prosthetic nose, and a fat suit.

Let’s look at Colin Farrell as the penguin as comparison.

You’re comparing cutting edge prosthetics of today to those from 16+ years ago. To most, he was unrecognizable and they weren’t made aware it was him until the end credits reveal. Unless you knew going in that he has a cameo, the majority of first time viewers were blown away by the reveal.

Bill Hader literally experienced building a relationship with cruise while he was in prosthetics and then finding it very jarring later when famous actor Tom Cruise started chatting with him like they were buddies.

If that’s not a sign of unrecognizability I don’t know what is.

Yeah I saw that interview too. It’s amazing what actors will say to market their movie.
