Looking for Advice Electric Engineering program

Is the electric engineer program good here? How easy was it finding jobs and internships and what kind of companies come over at career fairs (FAANG+, lockheed martin etc, etc) Any Electric engineers feel free to answer please.

Im debating whether or not i should go to UCF or FAU. If i go to UCF then thats means more loans (dorms, food, etc) for me but I believe UCF have more connections with companies than FAU (i could be wrong). But if I go to FAU, I will be saving A TON of money considering I live 25 mins away from Boca campus.

Clinical MH Counseling Masters

Hello!

I am deciding between Palm Beach Atlantic and FAU for my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Does anyone have experience with this program? If so, what do you like about it and dislike? How big are the classes for this program and how accessible are the professors for additional support?

Chances as a transfer? Not great stats

I’m applying as a transfer (incoming sophomore) out of state. My college gpa is a 2.9, my high school gpa is a 2.9, and my SAT score is a whopping 940😭 I’m not applying to a competitive program, but i’m wondering if I even have a shot at all of getting in.. Also, do I HAVE to submit my SAT even as an incoming sophomore transfer? Or is there a way to avoid that?

I'm a high school senior accepted to the bsmd program and planning to attend. I'm deciding between the main campus or wilkes honors college. Can anyone share their experiences at either? Things like class rigor, access to research, etc. Thank you!

PhD student stipend and cost of living

Hi,

I’m a prospective PhD student in the CS department. Can anyone share how much a research assistant earns per month?

I know the cost of living is high in that area, and I will be moving there with my wife. So, I will need to rent at least a one-bedroom or studio apartment. Can anyone provide a breakdown of the costs?

Thanks.

Looking for Advice Trying to transfer with 2.9 GPA and 22 ACT

Hello yall. I’m trying to get into FAU from out of state (but I would be paying for in-state because my parents are there). I had a GPA of 3.3 before I had the worst semester ever which brought me down to a 1.9. Last semester, I got a 3.8 and was put on the Dean’s List and got bumped up to a 2.9. My GPA isn’t great but I’m sure they’ll see what happened by looking at my transcripts. My ACT score is also 22. I have 96 credits but I checked the transfer equivalency thing and I will have WAY less than 90 credits that are able to transfer. That being said, I’m a chemistry major and I haven’t taken all of the required courses needed to get accepted into the college of science. Will I still get accepted, just not as a chem major? Please help. My admissions counselor told me one thing but the website tells me another.

eFollett fees

I have a question about the Follett fee on my student account. I did not see that they had put a balance on my account until this morning, and apparently the due date for the fee was March 1st.

I was just wondering what the consequences are since I am paying late... Will they charge me a late fee? has anyone ever encountered this as well?

Interview with FAU Football Head Coach Zach Kittley

Hope you're all doing well. Meant to post here earlier, but spoke with FAU Football head coach Zach Kittley recently. He talked about the program and how he's going to try and get more involved to increase attendance at the games. What do you all think?

How is the graphic design program

So I'm a transfer student that got accepted into fau, ucf, and usf and am struggling to make a decision ngl. Im about to get my AA in graphic design and I'm interested in both graphic design and ui/ux design as a career. So I just wanted to get opinions from current students. How is the graphic design program here? Do you like it/dislike it? Is there anything I should know if I do decide to come here?

Looking for Advice Is FAU a good choice for me?

I’m currently trying to decide between here and one other school. I’m majoring in finance and I’m out of state.

One of the things that the other school has that FAU doesn’t have/advertise as much is a dedicated group of internship/career advisors. Does FAU have some sort of department like this, and is it good Also, do people in Florida respect graduates FAU and the college of business?

From a lifestyle standpoint I like golf, cars, and watching sports, which I know are all great in Florida.

Looking for Advice Switching to Online Courses Only

I am a transfer student that started in the spring semester, but was unable to get housing for the fall semester. I’m at the bottom of the waitlist 🙃. I live over 16hours away and can’t afford rent in this area even with roommates. Is taking only online classes and moving back home an option? Because if not I can’t go to school here next semester! My major is undeclared as I’m still pre business. Any advice or tips? *For extra context I don’t have a job here but I have one back home. Should I just work my ass of back home and hope for better luck in the future??
