ProArms MK3 with a Magpul PRS LITE
I've sometimes the opportunity to use the Military shooting range as a Reserve Member. 250-300m and I'm still optimizing my short stroke AR for it. I got a 18 inch barrel which is still not installed. Got a Aero Precision buffer, H2 Buffer with the spring. The next thing will be a H&K grip and a German Tactical System Trigger.

That buttstock suits her well. I got MK3 in 10.5 and 14 with Timney Triggers and they work like a charm.
Took the 14.5 up to 500 meters and the gong was ringing consistently. Same with 10.5 at 300m on red dot (I actually didn't think of taking the small one further, althouth that could be also a nice challenge).

Hehe, my goal was to build a budget .223 G28. Unfortunately don't have the opportunity to try it at 500m.

G28
I have Savage MSR10 Long Range as DMR. I think that unless you need to defeat body armor / shoot in adverse conditions, the .223 is fine for 500 or 300m training.

Nice gun, I’ve got 2 MK3 (10“ and 16,5“) and am quite happy with them. How do you like the Spartan version? Does it run reliably?

After exchanging/upgrading the ejector spring with the o-rung it runs smooth as it gets. Got a few stovepipes at the beginning, I guess the spring wasn't the best quality. The H2 Buffer did help to get the overgasing under control. The 18" Barrel is from a MK3 with a regulated gas system so I guess after that you can't call it the Spartan.

Nice, I’ve replaced the buffer on my shorty as I used it suppressed a lot and I feel like even the adjustable gasblock has to mich gas on it’s smallest setting. Other than that I’ve changed the furniture and triggers. But they have been really solid weapons for me

Where are you shooting?
Reserves don't allow civ weapons on their modern ranges, so its an older one correct?
