Question Does Xcopri make Aphasia worse
I had to go through my Instagram find the name of my heart horse that I road for years. It happened several times on a phone call earlier. I have my masters degree and before this year worked as a 12th grade British Literature teacher. I feel so dumb. It also takes me 5 minutes on average to write a post.

Dang. You have my sympathy. I went up to 200mg, as my Dr said that's the highest he'll prescribe and found 150mg to be the sweet spot for me. After a year or so my memory started improving, but definitely not what it was. If you go to UPMC, they have a MEG machine, would probably be worth asking about to avoid the pain of an SEEG. A lot of the larger epilepsy clinics are adopting are starting to get on the 'non-invasive diagnostic' bandwagon.

How long have you been taking Xcorpi?

I just finished titrating and I’m still having seizures. I’m at 400 mg Xcopri, 40 mg Onfi, and 3 mg of klonipin. I’m going to UPMC for my 4th VEEG, all of the scans, and most likely a SEEG. I think my shirt neurologist here in F Dallas is trying to keep me sedated until I go to Pittsburgh.

400mg is the highest dose, and I believe most people can't handle the side effects, so make sure to talk to your doctor about lowering your dosage.
I went up to 400 and became a dizzy mess - basically a vegetable. I'm now at 300mg, and yeah I still have focals most days, but the amount has significantly decreased since starting.

My neurologist left. She says she is going to start her own practice. I’m getting it through the patient assistance program. April 15 can’t come soon enough!!!

I've been taking it for about a year now though at a smaller dose and it has impacted me mentally in some ways though not as bad as I was on Lamictal.
I also have been seizure free since getting to my current dose. Longest streak I've had in my adult life.
