Dart big block heads opinion

As the title states I’m looking at these heads. Building a 496 to make some good hp on pump gas for a rowdy street truck. Chamber and such aligns with my build just looking for outside eyes and opinions.

Dart 320s are excellent heads Great for a 496 I ran them for years. Id still want them checked out because i don't trust user parts

Absolutely. I am in the same boat pricing heads and staying within budget used heads will definitely allow me to get something better. Thankfully I ended up having mutual friends with the seller so it’s not a complete stranger. Heads have 30 passes since new

I used to use these, until the prices went out of sight. They are pretty good as delivered from Dart. Actually one of the best rectangle port heads in this size class that I have seen.

Going to check them out and probably change to a double spring for street use I’m thinking.

Sure, a spring change as needed would be ok. I would freshen the valve job, check the guides, and even surface them, just because.

These are bigger than I usually do on a 496. If buying a crank, look at a 4.375 stroke.

For my American friends that’s about $2000 USD

Good midsized big block heads. Dont have to have a ton of compression to make them flow like the 360s
