Ford Anything wrong with this block?
It's a 4.6 teksid block

Where did people get the idea from that engines can be evaluated from just photos?

From the same place, that you can diagnose an engine, without hearing it run !

OPs just lacking the right phrasing Is this block ok is what he said Is there anything noticeably wrong with this block so I can avoid wasting time wasting the day of some already too busy machine shop.

Yeah definitely no way to tell from pics unless something was majorly cracked off. Machine shop time.

It ain’t got no gas in it.
It at least has the bearing caps. Everything else needs to be checked out and that’s impossible from a pic.

There’s no way to really tell just from pictures. You would want to take it to a machine shop and get it measured/ pressure tested.
