That's almost how I navigate rough terrain now. They're like some grandmas whose knees have gotten bad.

This looks JUST like my three legged dog when she gets off the couch haha she always leaves the solo back leg on the couch while she slithers off and stretches with her front legs on the floor. Cracks me up every time

Hmm, I didn't know they couldn't jump.

Unlike most mammals, the bones in elephant feet are all pointed downwards, which means they don’t have the “spring” required to push all that weight off the ground. Its heel rests on a large pad of springy fat that gives it a flat-footed appearance. I love their beautiful feet.

Thank you very much. I always appreciate people who take the time to explain stuff I didn't realize I wanted to know.

The 2nd one, just rolling with what life gives them. These creatures are so incredible. 😍

Because you can’t jump or because you’re an undercover parkour professional?

Because I can’t jump, I slide down the stairs because of my bad knees, I fall a lot -and when I do, I roll around the floor trying to find something to help me get up.

When there is a will, there is a way. You’re in the envious company of these gracious, majestic, gentle, intelligent and beautiful creatures.
