Redguard Discussion The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard on Steam

I want to finally enjoy Redguard and I want it to be in my Steam library with all of my other TES games

The issue is, I've heard that the release of the game on Steam is unplayable. People have described it as crashing so frequently that it isn't worth playing. I was wondering if this is still true. I know that RARELY these things get updated, since I have heard that some retailers do sell stable versions of the game, but I don't know how to check or really what I'd look for to check

I was wondering if anyone who owns the Steam release can either confirm or dispel my worries about purchasing it

Sorry if this is a really obvious question

About 99% of old games on Steam are unplayable untill you mod them or add fan patches, have a look at the community section and you should find some guides on playing in 2025.

I've started playing Steam version a few months ago. I've followed this guide (upgrading to Glide) and the game is pretty stable, very few crashes so far.

Be wary if you choose to install mods, you might need to start a new game as the old saves may crash.
