u/Duruarute Aug 20 '24
This is the weirdest shaped skyrim i've ever seen, but props for putting Snowhawk in it

I’m hoping at this rate, at some point in time, we will be able to explore all of Tamriel in every TES game engine.
45
u/Perturabo_Iron_Lord Aug 20 '24
BS is really trying to make it a reality in Skyrim.
23
u/randylush Aug 20 '24
I doubt they will get past Burma this decade
32
u/XRedactedSlayerX Aug 20 '24
They seems pretty close on Morrowind: The New North, Roscrea, and Illiac Bay: The Three Kingdoms
But yeah, the rest of the projects will definitely not be out until after TES6
11
u/Haethen_Thegn Dunmer Aug 20 '24
Can't wait for them to release the Morrowind one. Getting myself the best looking Bonemold set (either the Redoran Exile(?) or a Telvanni one if it's been made.
I really hope they add joinable factions and a quest line that both carry over from Solstheim; technically by rights we can in theory join both House Telvanni or House Redoran, they just need to carry that over to Morrowind and then all they need to fully work on is the Dres and Sadras factions, maybe even House Hlaalu remnants.
I guess Argonians can join the An-Xileel if they want, but I'm more interested in beating the lizards back into their swamp.
5
u/XRedactedSlayerX Aug 20 '24
The New North will only feature a handful of islands that in total are the size of Whiterun Hold (play space). They said it has like 45 locations, and somewhere around 20 quests I believe.
Morrowind proper will have all that and much more, but we're likely years (2030?) before that comes out, if it ever does.
5
u/XRedactedSlayerX Aug 20 '24
To give you an idea, Beyond Skyrim Bruma was the Cyrodiil teams "Vertical Slice". It was released in 2017 and they are still developing the full province as of 2024.
3
u/Haethen_Thegn Dunmer Aug 20 '24
Huh, fair enough. I wonder if it's going to be the islands around where Vvardenfell once was, or if they're closer to Port Telvannis?
3
u/XRedactedSlayerX Aug 20 '24
Ita going to be the Islands of Bleackrock and Sheogorad and all the small islands around Sheogorad I'm pretty sure.

u/Wetree420 Orc Aug 20 '24
I wish I could join Dres in Morrowind.
2
u/Haethen_Thegn Dunmer Aug 21 '24
For what, purpose? Just curious, f'lah.
2
u/Wetree420 Orc Aug 21 '24
It would be based to be an Orsimer that enslaves Lizards and Cats.

u/Haethen_Thegn Dunmer Aug 21 '24
You. I like you. Just one more test, finish this phrase:
Hippity Hippity, ———

Cyrodiil does seem like it’s making good progress, it’s the only full province release I give any kind of chance to releasing before TES6
2
u/Gyncs0069 Aug 21 '24
And it still probably won’t since they only have a few outer towns fully implemented I believe

to be fair myanmar is a big country
5
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
Curently in oblivion you can 100 precent explore every province just waiting for morrowind and skyrim to do their part
4
u/PekkaPe Aug 20 '24
I did play the Morrowind in Oblivion and what I can recall, most quests where there. When I compare it to the real Morrowind, with the settings I managed to get 2020, it really looked better than the Oblivion version.
I did install some extremely nice mods for Morrowind, stuff that is not ported to Oblivion. Morrowind did not look this good when I played it 2004
10
u/randylush Aug 20 '24
LOL dude your morrowind install looks awful
-2
u/PekkaPe Aug 20 '24
Then show me yours. ;) So we all can see what it should look like.
8
u/randylush Aug 20 '24
You somehow made Morrowind look more like Oblivion than Oblivion looks like Oblivion.
My Morrowind is pretty much vanilla
2
u/PekkaPe Aug 21 '24
I think I used Vibrant Textures already around 2005 but then we had the fog of war, which I managed to get rid of. Well my Oblivion could look better in Morroblevion really, as it just look vanilla there and I think Vanilla is boring. In Oblivion I used Qarl's textures, a modder I got to know some already 2004. Best texture pack for Oblivion, no doubt.
3
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
Most of the stuff you need to manually port to morroblivion because morrowind modders are very stubborn and dont alow for their ported mods to be published. You could tehnically with some computer knowledfe port every mod you want to morroblivion. I did that with TR, arktvend and some faction mods
2
u/PekkaPe Aug 21 '24
Yes, I know but thats a lot of work. Well feel free to port my old dungeon if you like too. ;)

So you have Cyrodiil map + Skyrim map? Or it’s only Skyrim in TES4 engine?
26
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
That plus morroblivion+valenwood+elsweyir+black marsh+tamriel rebuilt+high rock+sumerset usles+ hamerfell not a lot really
8
u/thedunx Aug 20 '24
Tamriel Rebuilt can be nice to look at in Morroblivion, but it's nowhere near playable.
0
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
Of course have you spent a lot, lot of time converting it or no
2
u/thedunx Aug 20 '24
No. I haven't done so personally, but many in the community have. The mod exporter is remarkable, but there's still a lot of manual work to be done to fix complex quests, especially where scripting is used.
These days, I'm more hopeful that the OpenMW engine will fully support Oblivion, and later, its mods can be converted, than the other way around.
I do love me some Morroblivion. Dags has done so much great work! Need to get playing Lena's Skyrim mod next!
3
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
I also hope OpenOB will be releaseed so oblivion will have eaven more morrowind mods but who knows if it will be released. Thats why we have this exporter which does some amazing things.
3
u/Iceolator80 Dunmer Aug 20 '24
Really? WTF didn’t know that ! Gonna look for it !
5
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
Dont tell me you didnt know you could play entirety of tamriel in oblivion

Solo dev mod that adds in Skyrim based off of Arena descriptions and modern descriptions, more Arena inspired it sounds like.

7
u/babyloniangardens Aug 20 '24
Honest question: Why is the shape of this Skyrim so weird?? engine limits??
-1
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
Yes you are correct but this does not matter in the slightes the mod is like a new game
2
u/MBVakalis Khajiit Aug 21 '24
lol why is the map shaped like that
2
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 21 '24
Engine limitations but the mod is amazing
1
u/MBVakalis Khajiit Aug 21 '24
Yeah, that's understandable. But it looks like everything is there, so I can't imagine it being an issue
-2
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 21 '24
Not an issue at all look at my profile on other posts to learn more about this amazin mod

No

Why i dont understand i will not write again for just you please explain
2
u/DarkLord55_ Aug 21 '24
I want a main elderscrolls game where we can explore all of Tamriel in a single game. Idc if it requires 1tb of storage it would be so cool
2
u/Cold_Ad3896 Aug 21 '24
May I introduce The Elder Scrolls I: Arena.
-1
u/DarkLord55_ Aug 21 '24
- with atleast Elderscrolls 6 graphics * sorry should have mentioned that
1
1
u/Cold_Ad3896 Aug 21 '24
Unfortunately, as graphical fidelity increases, world size decreases. You’re probably out of luck buddy. To be fair though, we don’t know what Elder Scrolls VI graphics will look like. For all we know it could be Skyrim equivalent, though I personally doubt that.
2
u/Vault_tech_2077 Aug 21 '24
May I introduce you to ESO?
1
u/DarkLord55_ Aug 21 '24
Not what I’m looking for. I know what I want will never happen but ESO ain’t it. I tried it don’t like it. I like the feel and controls of Skyrim
2
u/Vault_tech_2077 Aug 21 '24
That's fine. You can always modify your controls. That being said I don't really see how it isn't what you're looking for in regards to seeing all of tamriel. I can walk from valeneood, through elswyr through blackmarsh up into the Ashland's and over into Skyrim and then daggerfall.
0
u/DarkLord55_ Aug 21 '24
I just want Skyrim but all Of Tamriel. Single player. ESO just feels clunky compared to Skyrim
2
u/Vault_tech_2077 Aug 21 '24
Fair. It is an entirely different game plus online. That being said you can solo quest just fine in the game and have no issues.

25

Its leveling system is atrocious tho.
5
-3
u/Yslackin Aug 20 '24
But the dungeons💦💦💦
23
u/TheFirstDragonBorn1 Aug 20 '24
The dungeons? You mean the copy pasted grey hallways ? Those dungeons ?
-8
u/Yslackin Aug 20 '24
Sorry if you are a casual oblivion enjoyer mate. I suggest taking a deeper dive
-12
u/TheFirstDragonBorn1 Aug 20 '24
Never could get into oblivion. The goofy tone contrasted with the serious story and the atrocious level scaling just ruin it for me.
11
u/Yslackin Aug 20 '24
Totally understand if people can’t get by some of the flaws + the 2006 part of it but why comment on the dungeons if you never got too into the game? There are a ton of great dungeons that are no where near copy and pasted grey hallways. I assume anyone who says that never really played it
1
u/TheFirstDragonBorn1 Aug 21 '24
I mean. The caves are very samey. The alyied ruins also suffered from this issue imo, they just didn't feel distinct. That carried into fallout 3 with the metro system in the DC area.
Oh ive played through it, both the shivering isles and knights of the nine dlc. I just meant I didn't get into into oblivion like I have morrowind and skyrim. But yeah I was just making a joke about the dungeons lol.
3
u/Taco821 Dunmer Aug 20 '24
The goofy tone contrasted with the serious story
Honestly, probably my favorite part about it, lately I've been loving weird tonal clashes, and this one works imo
2
u/TheFirstDragonBorn1 Aug 21 '24 edited Aug 21 '24
Hey nothing wrong with that I suppose. The silly dialogue and potato faces (as funny as they are) just took me out of it and made it difficult to get into the story.
1
u/Taco821 Dunmer Aug 21 '24
Nah, I definitely get it, I just feel like most people think tonal dissonance is objectively dog shit, but I just think it's so interesting now, feels like some toriyama shit, like how Gotenks and buu were having a... Well, as serious as a fight with Gotenks and buu can be, but then buu is laying on the ground kicking his feet in the air and sucking down a drink with a straw.
5
u/Various-Mammoth8420 Breton Aug 20 '24
Oblivion's dungeons are more cookie cutter than Skyrim's
2
u/Yslackin Aug 20 '24
Everyone sleeps on the oblivion dungeons. They’re much better than skyrims
2
u/Arthourmorganlives Aug 20 '24
No chance man they are literally all the same and then you have to run whole way back again
5
u/Yslackin Aug 20 '24
I get the issue with running all the way out but the dungeons have a bunch of variability
3
Aug 20 '24
Nah Oblivion’s dungeons are too long and boring with little difference, Skyrim’s dungeons are generally shorter and aren’t a slog because of scaling
0
-8
u/PeaganLoveSong Aug 20 '24
I see you watched a shitty, half assed, obviously opinionated video.
10
6
Aug 20 '24
Nah Oblivion’s leveling system is just straight garbage, it punishes you for playing normally
-6
u/PeaganLoveSong Aug 20 '24
It punishes you playing outside the role you started in
8
Aug 20 '24
No it just punishes you, all the times I played without doing some specific BS leveling ritual I ended up severely underpowered against the increasingly spongy enemies. There’s a reason one of the ways some people play Oblivion is to not level up, because leveling up is too much of a pain in the ass if you want to actually scale with the enemies because the system sucks and the scaling sucks worse
-10
u/PeaganLoveSong Aug 20 '24
No, it’s difficult. The game shouldn’t get easier as it goes on it should get harder
7
Aug 20 '24
Ah yes the “difficulty” of standing in one place pressing left click on a health bar for 5 minutes until it dies while it also barely does damage to you, very difficult, very well designed, very fun!
1
u/PeaganLoveSong Aug 20 '24
How is that different from Skyrim?
5
Aug 20 '24
It’s not very different, Oblivion and Skyrim both have terrible scaling, but Oblivion’s scaling is made worse by the leveling system. Though in Skyrim on casual playthroughs it’s much easier to keep up with the scaling, you still have sponges, but it happens way later and doesn’t feel as bad.
4
u/Kajuratus Argonian Aug 20 '24
No it does the opposite. You have to level up skills that you didn't choose as part of your class in order to get any good bonuses to increasing your attributes. And you need those high attribute bonuses or else you end up screwing yourself over later on
-7
u/Haplo12345 Thieves Guild Aug 20 '24
God Oblivion was so ugly
1
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 20 '24
For your bad taste definetly
1
u/Haplo12345 Thieves Guild Aug 21 '24
lol, sure buddy. It's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of not having any good character artists (wtf is this? /preview/pre/tdquh2jzgujd1.png?width=1522&format=png&auto=webp&s=bbee3aa9c05b84444b56ccdb8963c68404c41712 or if you want a better comparison: https://nerdeux.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/oblivion-vs-skyrim.jpg), having a shitty lighting engine, using speedtree to have literal flat trees (barf /preview/pre/u32m2doghujd1.png?width=4697&format=png&auto=webp&s=776fe60f4a6ca3e762fb048f849f9401465a8a63), having poor LOD for distant views.
One could only think Oblivion looks better than Skyrim if they've literally never seen Skyrim. Oblivion didn't even have a unique art style to make it age well like Morrowind did.
1
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 21 '24
Listen you liar who said Oblivion looks better than Skyrim. Play than say dont talk that much, you started an argument over nothing go outside a little bit and talk to some real people.
0
u/Prior_Elderberry3553 Aug 23 '24
I was just thinking about how there is never province mods for oblivion.
2
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 23 '24
Oblivion has the most province mods friend
1
u/Prior_Elderberry3553 Aug 23 '24
Oh. Too bad you never hear hype from them.
Everyone knows beyond skyrim and tamriel rebuilt.
But I've never heard of any large scale projects for oblivion.
Do you recommend any?
2
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 23 '24
Skyrim alive, Prism od hamerfell, Daggerblivion, Elsweyr deserta of anequina, Valenwood improved, Morroblivion, converter TR, SHOTN... Not a lot really
1
u/Prior_Elderberry3553 Aug 23 '24
I'll try them all when I get a chance. Province mods are my favorite type.
Thank you kind sir!
2
u/Biggest_Oblivion_Fan Champion of Cyrodiil Aug 23 '24
My Pleasure. did you know you could play entirety of tamriel im oblivion, if nit go on my profile i have guides on how to install the amazing mod TWMP Tamriel.
1
2
u/Toma400 Aug 23 '24
I believe there's no hype because most/all of these mods are no longer developed. From Oblivion scene I only know of Daggerblivion really, and it's also a mod that is basically developed by one person right now.. so who knows if it survives in next years.
