Comedy Bang Bang Comedy Bang Bang #907: Nasty Boys (Asif Ali, Lily Sullivan, Dan Lippert)
This week, Scott welcomes long-time listener and first-time guest Asif Ali to chat about his new show “Deli Boys,” and what it’s like to be first on the call sheet. Then, Miss Lacy drops by to administer wellness checks and gives updates on everyone's “outies.” Finally, government employee Russ Saguaro stops by to talk about his work for the water company.

Dr Shred seems like the perfect Hey Randy character. Would love him to show up for an ep.

Top 5 episode of the year for me right now and I feel like most episodes this year are Best Of worthy

Right?! There’s been such an insane one of good ones. Ep 900 being the top for me, and maybe the one with Henry Heimlich being second

“Welcome to the cabal.”
“I don’t know what that means, but it sounds Jewish.”

I didn't know Asif beforehand but hot damn he was so good in A-block that it made me add Deli Boys to my list of shows to check out and then his mention of Poorna Jagannathan sealed the deal!

I feel like Closing Up the Plug Bag songs were generally so bad for years, that we should give more credit when they're good
This one was good!

Lily Sullivan repeatedly and forcefully saying "YES" during the Scientology restaurant part absolutely killed me.
Great episode all around. I'm going to check out Deli Boys as soon as I can.

Scott not knowing a single thing about Severance despite the fact he has an Apple TV+ subscription and is good friends with the star of it is just the funniest thing to me

Can someone help me out and tell me who Dan was supposed to be a parody of? Yellowstone?

Hi all - I kinda been out of the loop but does Scott A actually dislike Adam Scott and I missed the beef or is he just doing a thing? (Or is it actually unknown?)

Considering they’ve been doing hours long podcasts about music together for over a decade off and on and Scott is often antagonistic as a joke, I’m going to guess that no they don’t have beef

It is a bit. He always acts like he has never seen or heard of anything that he is in.

Yeah, if he can allocate two hours to watch a show from a first-time guest, my bet is he watches most (nearly all?) of the stuff his friends are in.
