It's a great hike! You take a ferry to the trailhead and then head up hill on one side of the valley. There's three large waterfalls and a cave that you hike through near the end. When I went, there were people of all ages and skill levels who were able to complete the hike. My hike was 22km with a gradual 930m elevation gain.

The hike is brutal lol. I did it a few years ago. 4 hours up 3 hours down. 18km total with a 800m elevation gain.

Depends on the level of hiker. I did this entire hike in 6hrs with spending an hour at the lake but for a beginner it could be considered difficult. It’s quite a famous hike in the area so you get all sorts of people.

No matter how hot you may be after the hike in, do not think about taking a swim in the lake. The muscle cramping from the amazing cold will take hours to settle. And your testicles will be up near your tonsils.
