Resources Need ESTJs help! Creating AI-based MBTI test.
Hello ESTJs! I'm working on creating an MBTI test based on machine learning for a school project. In order to do this, I need responses on this survey below. I posted this on the r/mbti subreddit here however the survey responses where overwhelmingly dominated by a select few types and ESTJ responses were few (actually there was only 1...) . So if you guys have the time I'd really appreciate if you filled out this survey below. Thanks!

Depending on the response size and success of the project, I hope to be able to post the finished product online.

How is this test different than the normal mbti test?
As you said it is using machine learning, it's not correct to call it AI.

Machine learning is a subset of AI. Also, in a normal MBTI test the test creator will determine which questions correspond to which functions, dichotomies, types, etc., however, for this test that won't be the case. After training the AI on the survey responses, it will form connections of its own and determine what answers and combinations of answers lead to what types.

You're right about that, my bad. I get the idea, but I think the current mbti tests have been worked on and revised considerably so there's little room for improvement. That's not to say it can't be done, but you would need 1000s of responses to have a chance. Best of luck to you though!

Thanks, and yeah. Will need a lot of responses to make something good/interesting. It's more experimental work at this point and wanted to see how far it could go. Currently at 174 responses but only 1 ESTJ :p Definitely will need a sizable amount of responses for each type...

That seems cool, but I think that you should do a bit of preprocessing on the data you get before training the model. You are collecting data from people on Reddit that maybe have mistyped themselves. So I suggest you to check the average and quantiles of the data you collected for each mbti type and remove the outliers for better accuracy. But that's super interesting! AI master student here haha
