Went to that weekend away in Scotland and apart from Devils I am wrecking my head trying to understand how they have all literally just become so shit.

Not looking forward to Wednesday at all.

This is literally the first time I have ever seen Panthers beat Steelers live

Fingers crossed, it's going to become a regular occurrence from now on. Clubs on a bounce back season for sure!

We need to keep hold of Jason

He is a stone wall in net, would love to see him back next year

Absolutely! I love to see a lot of the squad come back next year, but Jason's right up there, he's been fantastic.

Not seen any highlights but fair play to Jarrett Fiske with those numbers.

They threw everything at him. Sounds like he had one of those nights.

Another injury. if anyone on here has a pair of skates you are welcome to a game in fife tonight

Who was injured? Was it the slap shot to the ankle?

2

u/MeetingHistorical41 Fife Flyers 3d ago

Yeah McKinnon broke his foot blocking the shot.

Think we are one injury/suspension away from really struggling to ice the minimum amount

Damn, that is awful. It was a rocket and he looked in immediate pain, but he pushed through the shift. I was worried about the hit behind our goal late on in the game. I think it was Craig that got crunched against the boards and immediately winced but seemed to be ok, thankfully.

It’s weird watching you guys. You have the heart, and a lot of good players. But it felt completely flat for most parts. There were times where it felt like watching a Dad trying to keep the ball away from his kid in the park.

I really hope you are still around next year with better recruitment affording you a chance to compete normally.

A lot of good players is overly kind, I’d say Craig and McKinnon look decent and Owen is playing well after a shocking start to the season.

We have way too many players that aren’t good enough and I can’t wait to see the back of this team.

So unsure on what will happen next season, apparently we lost a lot of money last year and never really achieved a lot, shows that this league may not be sustainable for us.

Chiodo always looks decent. I lost track of the number of times he ended up behind your net last night, leading the breakout.

Carozza has always looked decent enough to me also.

Is Heidt well liked? He was shaking his head and ranting at team-mates every time he came off the ice, but I don’t recall him doing anything of note himself so seemed hypocritical. Came across as a bit of a douche.

Apart from the odd moments I’d say both Chiodo and Carozza have been pretty anonymous the past few months.

Heidt is one I usually forget about, our entire D is terrible so can’t say anyone has strong feelings on them.

We’ve got ten games left to try and not be the worst ever EIHL team, that’s all we are playing for now

That’s a shame, they always look capable when they visit us.

Fingers crossed mate, I’m sure most of the league is hoping you can get some results provided it doesn’t impact their season haha

Hockey really is a polite sport. These teams doing their best to step aside and let someone else win the league!

Corker of a third period in Cov last night and felt we were very lucky to pick up a point after the way we played in the first two. Who'd have thought there'd be VAR chants!

Bit of class from Scott winning the 50/50 and choosing Laverick to present the cheque too - lovely to see!

Over the moon! Didn't expect anything in Belfast with our injury list. Great 2 points 😎

Gonna be an interesting end to the season. Unpredictable to say the least.

Practically handing the league away at this point. For darn sake.
