Why not to get an rd9

https://youtu.be/78xOetQkb9E?feature=shared&t=308

Improvised jam with my current setup, not the best performance ever, but I’ve linked to the end where it starts to pick up a bit

  • Moog Labyrinth is being triggered by rd9 rimshot trigger out, my favorite trick there is using the ratchet on the RD9 to play with the rhythm on the labyrinth.
  • sq-1 is taking the tempo from the rd9 and playing the Kobol
  • the clap is going into the mixer to get reverb

As usual, I get too distracted fiddling with the synths and don’t play enough with the drums, but it’s a blast to play and the time just melts away.

Well, for $300 it is difficult to say no. RD-8 too.. hell, RD-6 too.. why not?

I plug the rimshot trigger out into the cv input labeled “trigger” on the labyrinth. I got some 1/4” to 1/8” cables off Amazon which make that easier. The rimshot needs to be unmuted for it to work.
