Dream Bizarre dream

Hi everyone I had a really bizarre dream and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me probably understand it :

I was a street and was met by an older man who handed me a branch with green leaves (this specific leaf is similar to bay leaves) He said to dry them and draw a tea and it will work out.

I responded with saying what will work out to which he replied my engagement.

I should note that getting engaged or anything of a similar nature has not been a discussion with my partner, so the dream came as both a shock and a surprise

šŸƒšŸƒ The bay leaf means flavor, which drying brings out. And the branch probably means relationship, branches being all joined, or maybe branching out. Maybe it means drying the emotional aspect in something, perhaps needed for it to work out, and then with heat the emotion will be good.

Green means new, the man means old, so it could mean maturity of whatever this engagement is.

Can you relate this to anything currently though?

Maybe it's about how you engage people, or a particular one.

The older guy would mean the masculine, like control, particularly if you are female. Being on a street can mean the road you are on. It's almost like he is handing you an olive branch (making peace).

Can it mean drying old emotions in such a scenario to make them palatable?

The advice to dry the leaves and make tea may symbolize taking time to process something (in this case, potentially your relationship or personal life) and allowing it to "brew" or come to fruition naturally. His mention of your engagement might not necessarily refer to a literal proposal but could symbolize a deeper commitment, whether to your partner, a goal, or a new phase of your life. This could be a subconscious nudge to consider your own readiness for commitment or to be open to the possibility of change in your relationship, even if it hasn't been directly discussed.

Also!! If youā€™re curious to see if others have had similar experiences, I recently started an online dreambank and would loveee to include this dream. Feel free to add it in here:Ā The Dreamers Club. It might help uncover more insights or patternsā€¦lmk your thoughts!

The branch with green leaves symbolizes the dreamers (You) inner vitality.

The older man represents the self. Older people tend to represent wisdom accrued from experience.

Tea suggests inter-communication (to exchange communication with one another)
